Philosophy products: why no SPF?

I love Philosophy products. I've used several of the skin care items. Purity Made Simpe is hands down my favorite cleanser. The one complaint I have is the ack of SPF in the moisturizers. Solid research supports an SPF of 30 is considered minimal protection against skin cancer. Why oh why do Philosophy products leave out SPF?!!!! A few years ago Philosophy had Hope with SPF. I bought it a couple of times and loved it. Where did it go? It just seems one could spend a lot of $$$$ on the Hope in a Jar, etc. items and as much as I love them, I would need to layer something else on for protection. This doesn't make any sense, especially since Philosophy is known for promoting "Makeup Optional Skin".

Re: Philosophy products: why no SPF?

For me, I cannot use sunscreens as they irritate my skin and eyes and I cannot tolerate the smell of it. I am glad it's not in the products I use regularly but I can understand how you must be disappointed that the HOPE with SPF isn't offered any more. I wish products with or without were offered so everyone could be satisfied Smiley Happy

Philosophy has lots of SPF options! Just type SPF in the search bar at philosophy.com. Smiley Happy

Thanks. Good advice. I just wish the Hope with SPF were brought back to QVC. It wasn't too heavy or greasy like a lot of the moisturizers out there. It may not be for everyone, but it seems Philosophy may not be practicing what they preach if you follow their Make up Optional routine and end up having to layer n a BB cream or foundation with SPF, especially in the summer. I like to be as minimal as possible.

philosophy has a bb cream with SPF, moisturizers with SPF and foundations with SPF. I guess I don't understand what you're saying?

Re: Philosophy products: why no SPF?

I'm really upset that they did away with what I've been using for almost nine years!! First they got rid of When Hope is Not Enough w/SPF 20. But, fortunately, I found out it was in the new Hope is Enough w/spf for Dry Skin. Sure enough, the ingredients were the same. Now about one or two months ago that one has been discontinued. There's still one for sensitive or oily skin as well as the regular. I'm so fed up with Philosophy discontinuing things that I love! I have enough for about six months. I guess I'll have to change brands after.

Doesn't Hope in a Jar come in an SPF 30? That's what I used to use.

It's 10% off at Nordstrom right now.
