Kate, I tried the Olay version when I was a little low on "spending money," and I think there was a promo on Drugstore dot com during that time, so it was a really great deal. It's a nice product, but doesn't quite feel the same as Philosophy's MD Peel. Although Phil's is pricey, I think it's worth it. :-)

Shipping costs are the #1 deterrent to me ordering stuff off the Q anymore. I can usually find a Buy it Now on Ebay with free shipping for most beauty products I love. Until the Q changes something with their exorbitant shipping costs, I'll continue to do that when I can.

I don't like that micro delivery peel anyway-I used to but my DERM said to not use it--too harsh.

I do agree with this, however, I think the Olay version is "close enough" to philosophy's. even tho I haven't found any other products that can even come close to philosophy, this Olay product is "good enough"- like really close!

Kate, I love the MD Peel, too, and have used it for years. I recently tried the Olay version of the peel, and it's nice, but not as nice as Philosophy's, IMO. It is a lot less expensive, but I'd rather pay more for Philosophy's, as I think it's "better."

So glad you mentioned the Olay peel! I have often looked at it and thought about it but I never brought myself to stray from the MD peel...I'm glad I made the right choice :-)

CCBeauty, Yep, it's very close, but it just doesn't make my skin feel quite as nice as Phil's product. It is nice, though. :-) I have super sensitive skin, and find the MD Peel to be really gentle.

eta: If you haven't already, you might want to buy the Olay version from drugstore dot com when they have one of their sales - that's where I bought mine "on the cheap!"

I just found out that Philosophy is NOT cruelty free. It said any skin care brand who is jumping on the band wagon to make mega bucks in China does test on animals first. It's the law in China. If they want to sell there, they must be placed on the DO TEST ON ANIMALS list. I love my Purity, but not enough to fund this sort of thing. So disappointed in Philosophy!
