@Queens To my knowledge, the Philosophy shower gel has never been touted as "pure." I'm not sure where you got that.
Another one of their big products, Purity Made Simple is not at all "pure" either. It's just a name.
As with everything, read the label and decide if the ingredients are right for you.
I only use two of their shower gels because they are translucent and are they only ones that rinse off me clean -- Gingerbread Man, and Sweet Vanilla Fig. I cannot use their Purity Made Simple because it instantly breaks my face out in tiny bumps.

@Alison Wonderland Same here--been using Philosophy shower gels for 20 years with no problems.

My guess would be that it's a typical product disclaimer. Probably aimed at the "bubble bath" aspect of the advertising. Any cleansing product (body cleansers, laundry detergent, etc.) can be an irritant for more "sensitive" body parts. I remember back in the day when the same disclaimer was put on children's bubble bath products and much was publicly made of the potential risks of children sitting in the bubble bath for prolonged periods.
I've never encountered any problems using Philosophy shower gel but everyone is different.

I have been using Philosophy shower gel for the past 3 years. Mainly because of of the host presentation on how safe and pure the product is.
I didn't bother to read the directions. Everything I needed to know was explained by the hosts. Safe and pure.
So you could imagine my shock the other day when I dropped the bottle and when picking it up, the word CAUTION caught my eye. "Prolonged Exposure may cause irritation to the Skin and Urinary Track. keep out of the reach of Children". Why is this product presented to us as safe and pure???
The warning is required by a federal cosmetics labeling law, 21CFR740.17.

All fragranced soaps irritate my urinary tract. I use Dove unscented bars in private areas.

My mother was very prone to UTI's (frequent) and she was told no tub baths at all...only showers. Not sure if that is the advice given currently.

It's all about the sale. I think I am going to have to block myself from shopping channels.

Sorry I didn't read you post. This was my first time on the forum. Belated Thanks...Queens

The OP May have made an assumption because of the word purity on some of their product names. The cautionary note is common in many bath products.
