Perfect Formula Pink Gel Polish

Long time no visit.  I'll cut to the chase.  I've been using more natural polishes without the "nasty 7" ingredients.  They've done nada for more now thin fragile nails. I truly think they were destroyed by chemo over 7 years ago, as I've heard the same from other women.  I like to keep my nails short but well manicured and they'd been impossible.

I ran across the PF Pink Gel I'd purchased as a kit, but hadn't touched.  It was still good and thought, what the heck. It couldn't get any worse, and was feeling desperate.  That stuff has performed miraculously - no kidding.

Anyone else find the same results?  It's truly the first time in years my nails have been restored back to health... and I don't get it.

If anyone knows of something else that works as well with less of the toxic

ingredients, I'd love to know.  Thanks for reading.  Smiley Happy

Re: Perfect Formula Pink Gel Polish

I have used this for years, but sometimes with mixed results. Overall, it is way better and lasting than others I have tried. Two coats after a base coat usually lasts about 10-14 days and I love the blush color on my fingernails. Does not show a chip as easily as the colored polishs do.

I now by mine at Ulta because when it gets low, I don't want to have to buy a kit, and  pay shipping as well.  Ulta has the larger single bottle; more economical than a smaller one.

@Funloving  The PF works for me, too. I wear my nails very short, clear PF Gel Coat. Tried Julep and a few others. PF was the best.

I have a kit on the way.  It was on waitlist, but apparently was shipped today.  I have good nails though. What I really need is something for my cuticles.

Re: Perfect Formula Pink Gel Polish

@Funloving - I'm wearing it right now! I'm blessed with strong nails that grow, but I like to wear polish. I was getting white spots under my nails that showed through when I wore lighter colors. My dermatologist recommended a nail cream I could order online. When I saw the price, I decided to try another way!

I really wanted to like Julep, because I like Jane Park, but it chipped almost as soon as I put it on. I wear mostly OPI and Essie, but I was intrigued by PF. The first time I used it I loved it! And shortly after that I noticed my white spots were fading. I have it on by itself right now, but I usually use it as a base coat. Then I use PF "My Favorite Topcoat." I plan to keep using it. The ingredients might not be the best, but if they were very toxic the FDA would not let the product be sold. And I think they've been in business a long time!

I'm glad you found something that works for you! Smiley Happy

Re: Perfect Formula Pink Gel Polish

I'm happy for ya, @Funloving -- but the Pink Gel Coat didn't help my nails.  I was disappointed.   What I've found, every "healing" polish works on my nails for a couple months, then stops abruptly.  Nailtique gave me beautiful nails for about 3 months, then they cracked worse than before -- the same for Julep, Barielle, Pink Gel Coat and others.  It's probably my nails and not the products I'm choosing.  Recently I went back to Sally Hansen "Hard As Nails" and my nails are beautiful again.  But how long will it last?

I hope the Pink Gel Coat is a permanent fix for you.

Re: Perfect Formula Pink Gel Polish

Thanks for your input @Shelbelle, @tototwo and all who answered this post.

I had awful ridges throughout my nails which are now gone, and also like the natural look of just the pink gel vs. color.  I've always been an OPI lover, with Bubble Bath at the top of the list.  But with the condition of my nails, it no longer worked, even with a more natural ingredient nail base and top coat.  I'll check out the Sally Hansen product recommendation.  I appreciate all of your input very much!  Thanks guys! @bridal_diva-

Thanks for letting me know this can be found at Ulta.  I had no idea.  Perhaps it's by store but never thought about asking since this is news to me.  I'd much rather escape shipping costs and long waits to receive.  Who wouldn't?

Thanks again to you and all.
