@Shanus I had heard that but I believe that they changed the formula and you need to buy the Canadian version if you want the original.

@ShanusI don't buy the "why a new version" idea - after all Botox is not one thing - there are different versions of Botox. Hopefully we go to docs who actually know how to use the right version well. Some do, some don't - and if we've lived long enough, we've seen both results. (I'm not supporting the new Plexiderm, but the science behind could have changed/improved just as it has for Botox.)
Just read a good discussion in my local paper this week - my best take-away: given my age and my various life styles over the years, I should just save my $$$$!

@Shanus i didn't watch any of the presenrarions but the vendor may have used botox as well as the plexiderm. a lot of people who sell beauty products who claim to use their prodct also do procedures. an obvious vendor is adrianne in hsn. i think her produts are good and help, but she has had procedures, no doubt imo.
@Brisky if you don't mind my asking, what happens at the end of the 4-6 mos. period? do you go to the way you were or worse? i appreciate the information.

It's a no for both of them for me.
Ever read the side effects of Botox? It's scary. The Plexiderm really made little to no difference for some of the models I saw yesterday. One brunette model looked better in the "before."
My motto is and always has been prevention of lines, wrinkles and sagging. I made up my mind in my late teens that I would avoid the sun at all costs and always wear sun screen. Good skin care was also a given. My skin reflects that at age 65 going on 66. I am happy with the results and will accept whatever aging goes with that regime I started so very long ago.

Trinity11, your right sunblock is our best friend.
@Brisky A deep tan was popular with all my friends. Right before my senior prom I went to Jones Beach to get a tan. Instead of a tan my girlfriend and I got a 2nd degree burn. My photos reflected it a few days later in all my prom pictures. I swore to myself that I would never do anything like it again and I wore sunscreen. Lesson learned..

It's just a film former that sits on your skin and kind of smooths and hikes it up a bit. Like a super thin patch. You can't use most moisturizers with it because any oil breaks down the film. And gradually your own skin oil does that too.
It's hard to work with. If you're at the point where you want this lifting smoothing effect, you probably also want to wear your rich moisturizer. Which you can't.
Botox would make sense for anyone selling and demonstrating this product because paralyzing the muscles would save the film from being stretched out via facial contractions and contortions. If you talk really animatedly while using one of these products, you stretch it out, which also breaks it down and reduces the lifting effect.

With QVC's return policy, I decided to try this product. Husband has suitcases under his eyes and with my weight loss, my face has taken a hit. We both have had cataract surgery and getting rid of the glasses shows the eyes more. Plus cataracts had diffused my eyes enough I did not see all the fine lines left after losing weight. Now, seeing almost 20/20, they were a shock!! We are going to give this a try just to see if we can help our looks. Like others, though, I am wondering why that vendor did not show her befores. If she cannot of will not, then they need a new vendor that can prove something.
