@Shanus , this is anecdotal but worth a thought. I had this last summer but it went away in two weeks with a prescription cream...keto something cream. I was told it was because my blood sugars were elevated which fed the yeast. I remember a post where you watched your blood sugar and ate a limited carb diet? Sometimes, according to my derm, just a small amount of extra carbs are responsible for excess yeast. Just something to think about for resolving the issue. So far, it's been working for me and I have had no recurrences.

My derm gave me creams, lotions, shampoo, and even oral steroids several times and I still had the rash.  Like I say, in frustration I went back many times.  Then, she finally told me about "the comes when it comes and goes when it goes" plus gave me a derm brochure that said the same thing.  That year was itchy and awful, but one day it went.  Sure enough.

A couple of years later, it came back on my scalp only.  I was given Nizoral Rx shampoo.  It worked until just recently. Then, one day, my scalp just cleared up and hasn't had issues since.

I was diagnosed a few months ago with eczema and psoriasis. It was in various parts of my body, but not my face. I use a lotion, shampoo, Cerave ( a good moisturizer ) but Methotrexate Sodium, has been the most effective of  all.

My conditions are chronic but come and go. My first two Derm. Drs were not helpful and I suffered with constant itching which also interrupted sleep and was unpredictable.

The Third Derm. Dr was the one who was able to help. As she put it, attack the inside and the outside. Good luck and hope you will over come this.

Hey @Shanus .  Hope it clears up soon for you.  I have psoriasis and vitaligo from childhood.  I think they are both auto immune issues.  I think too much sugar and stress cause my to flare up.

How did you get an appointment with a Derm that fast?

In my neck of the woods, there is at least a 6 month wait.  By the time you get in to see the doctor, whatever was wrong has cleared up.

Most people use their PCP for rashes and other minor issues.

I called for a skin check in July. I have a spot that needs looked at.  My appointment is in February.

@Trinity11 , that is what went through my mind -- eating extra carbs can feed yeasts. 

Seborrheic dermatitis is a fungal infection that can cause scaly patches on the scalp, face & other areas of the skin. It's like a rapid buildup of skin cells.

Well I feel sorry for you @Shanus  but my dermatologists  never allowed me to put the hydrocotrisone on my face, ever. Now the sulfur makes sense.  Not the first. OY.

To all reading never put hydrocortisone on your face is you are fair skinned and roseacea prone.  It's a disaster.
