Many do not think they need the odor protection but they just don't think they do. Just run a tissue on the under boob area or under belly area and smell (gross but the truth comes out)!!! For anyone says we did not need that before well it's just that there was nothing to use back then. Just look at all the new inventions and products that we have now.

kiss my face, Inscented is a great deodorant. My husband has used it for years, and it works. Hard to find outside health stores. But we get it on Amazon

72 hours is 3 days. I don't think the ads are aimed at people who are unable to bathe with all the dancing around in them. Dove is the one that comes to mind and yes, it's whole body. The trend seemed to start after Lume and then there's Mando.
If someone is incapacitated or in a nursing situation and unable to bathe more often than every 4th day, they probably also aren't buying their own deodorants.

Men on rural oil rigs need such things. Even if they dont use it for 72 hours often they can't just "order from Amazon" in the middle of no where.

Some members of my family run a hunting outfitting business in the mountains of Colorado.
The advent of those 72 hour products has made dealing with those hunting parties, according to my cousin who cooks for them and handles their tents, a whole lot fresher. Those products are listed on the "bring" sheet. If they do not bring them, she doles them out.
No more game-y guys (and gals)!!!!

In a previous life I used to be a Colorado hunter and we did not wear any kind of deo for days and sometimes weeks at a time. The animals could smell that and run away. Instead we would rub big game animal scent on us to mask the smell of us humans.

Sometimes what people eat or the medications they take gives them a stronger body odor. I have noticed that people who eat spicy foods tend to have a stronger body odor.

When I was first dating my late husband, he took garlic capsules to treat a bad cold (cue rolling my eyes). The garlic capsules did nothing for his cold but it did produce a strong garlic odor that oozed out of his skin and breath like an aura. And he showered twice a day. So, yep, foods, medications and medical conditions can cause body odor. Those whole body sprays would also be useful for teenagers as puberty kicks in and their sweat glands and body odor go haywire from hormones.
Out of curiosity, I tried Dr. Denese No Offense Long Lasting Whole Body Deoderant, 72 Hours Protection. I used it on my armpits and I found that the cream's odor prevention did not last 72 hours, more like 48 hours, at best, when the moon and stars are in harmonic alignment. For me, this product needs to be used everyday. The 72 hours advertisement is pure marketing.
