In a nation where it seems most everybody bathes every day or even every other day, why do we need 72 hour odor control?  I keep seeing ads for deodorants that promise 72 hours.

People with eczema and the elderly do not always bathe daily, as well as those in professions that have longer shifts like physicians and firefighters.

What about all of these deodorant products that you see advertisied on t.v. that are supposed to be sprayed all over the body???  Do we generally need these products???  We have gotten along all of these many years fine without them and by just using an under arm deodorant and/or antiperspirant for the most part, haven't we?  I really don't think personally that I have a need for these things.  And also, I have extremely sensitive skin so I think this would just be another thing which could potentially cause unnecessary problems for me.  Thoughts?

I think if someone is bathing or showering regularly, they need to see a doctor if any particular part of the body continues to be stinky.  The odor control products are a money grab, including those for the private area. If it's really a problem, call a doctor for an appointment.

Some people sweat a lot. Not everyone has cooperative odor and sweat glands.

It's so embarrassing for me. Since menopause, I constantly sweat. I can wear shorts and a t-shirt -30 degree blizzard weather and still sweat.  Last year, my doctor gave me a medication that has greatly reduced my sweating and I feel normal again!

I really like Dove's Whole Body Deo Spray. It's not that I need it but I like that it gives me confidence. I'm an old woman and I don't particularly like having that 'old people smell'...lol! Not sure if I do or not but I'd rather not be told that I do.

I don't use just any deodorant.  I like all natural deodorant and it's not bad for my underarm skin.

I'm not perfect when trying to use all natural products, but every little bit helps.

I think some people need more odor control, or they can't bathe due to their circumstances. I guess 72 hour products can help them. 

I can't use many products with scents because they aggravate my asthma so I won't be trying any of those scented body sprays.
