A reminder to everyone that this time of year, all delivery services hire extra/new drivers who are not familiar with your home and where you normally have your packages left.

If your package is showing as delivered, you need to look in every bush, bin, door (garage, porch and otherwise) for your package.

I send my uncle KC Steaks every year. One year they didn't arrive but QVC replaced them.

He found the original box in the spring leaning against the inside of his screened in porch door. A porch that he never uses and has the door blocked off from the inside.

As he is a microbiologist, I will tell you that THAT was his real gift and he enjoyed it immensely for days to come ;o)

Glad you have an honest neighbor

I ordered dress pants from QVC and it was around Thanksgiving and I always have my brothers and their families staying at my house for the 4 days. I forgot all about the pants. Then I happened to look at my order status one day. It said that the pants were delivered to my next door neighbor's house about 2-3 weeks before. I was so disappointed she did not bring the package to my house. In the past I had given her mail that was delivered to my house and flowers that were delivered to my house because she wasn't home. Our houses are not that far apart.

I have a completely different opinion of her now.

I've had hundreds of UPS orders delivered with never a glitch but I pray every time something is shipped FedEx. They are the champion screw ups. They once delivered all my prescription medication to the house next door. Their teenager took it inside but was not home when I tried to get it. Finally a week later the parents returned and I got it.

Yes! My same experience. We have a 123 oak lane and 123 oak court (examples) in my n'hood. I'm oak lane. It is always, always FedEx that delivers to wrong address. I can see it's an easy mistake but they are in the business of package delivery and there must be many, many n'hoods with the same issue.

Faith in my neighbors (somewhat) restored. A lady drove up from 61, I live at 51, gave me the package, and said she returned home at 10:30 last night and thought it was too late, I thank you all for your input and support. I will know what to do in the future should this happen again.

That's excellent news. I would still contact UPS the driver needs to be more careful.

OP this has happened to me before and they end up delivering it the next day. You should have called the 1-800 UPS number. I think they fudge it a bit and say it's delivered when it really isn't.

I live in a densely populated area and the UPS men make lots of errors. I called UPS and they suggested I set up a free MY UPS account. In addition to the tracking I get an email telling me when a package will be delivered. When I had a serious problem re meds they would call me when they were dropped off. I haven't had any problems since I've done this.

My postman is wonderful. He rings my bell and if I'm not home somehow gets it right to my door. He is overworked; his route is much longer than it used to be. Sometimes I don't get my mail until 6:30 p.m.

The UPS men are doing just fine.

The day I went ballistic and called UPS was not a good day for them. That night on the national news on ABC they showed UPS men throwing large packages marked fragile all over the place etc. It was all on tape.

We live in the country and our neighbor called me last week to tell me they had seen a pickup truck stopping and looting all the mailboxes on the road! They took off too fast to get their lic.# darn! Now I have to watch for my mail or get a PO box in town. I know a lot of my neighbors get their meds in the mail so I'm sure the thief made out well.Curses on the thieves.
