I have a love/hate relationship with lipstick.  I too am chasing the perfect color, but most of the time I am just disappointed.  The color isn't the color shown.  Plus, I have trouble getting lipstick to look like it's not just sitting on top of my lips, and I have very wrinkly lips.  Not vertical lip lines although I'm beginning to get those, but the lips themselves.  I'd like to get them plumpled just to plump the wrinkles out of them.

The problem I have with the ones they sell on the home shopping channels is they often sell them in a set of 3 and I can only wear 1 of the 3.  I can't wear anything with any orange in it at all and the sets always include one peachy or coral tone and one they'll call a nude which always seems to look orange on me.

I like berry or raisin shades, but really want some of the more natural pinks that just darken the lips a little.

I like Laura Mercier, Stila and Bobbi Brown.  I have others but those are my top 3.  Cat Happy

@Icegoddess  Sometimes I'll buy a lipstick and I love the color but it's just too dark.  I'll just dot it on my lips and spread the color with a lip balm.  It makes it more sheer, I still have the color that I like, and it doesn't appear to be just sitting on top of my lips, which you mention ...   and I understand.  Give it a try.  Sometimes I'll use IT Je Ne Sais Quoi and sometimes Laura Mercier Lip Balm to spread the color.

I freely admit I have too many lipsticks, but that's because I'm always chasing the perfect color. I just might have found it, this AM. I received a new lippie from Sephora It is from Make- Up Forever, and it is pink coral. It brightens my whole face and it seems to have staying power. Do you have a favorite lip product ?

@QVCkitty1

This sounds like the color I have been looking for!!!  Can you tell me the name of the color or the number?

I keep buying lipsticks trying to find my perfect shade!!

@AngelPuppy1, The brand is Make Up Forever Artist Rouge Creme and the color is  C306, pink coral. I hope you like it !

I thought I had replied to you, but I don't see it!  Well, in any event, I thank you for your  answer and I am going to look this one up!!!
