Just wondering what are your thoughts on beauty mystery boxes? Charlotte Tilbury has a box with 6 full size products (she does tell you what one is), I'm sure she will sell everyone of them ($124). I hate blindly buying something I don't know what it is, especially at that price. I once bought a Bare Minerals box and returned it. Do you buy them?

@Jordan2 I'll purchase a Mystery box ONLY if it is super, super cheap. And, this is very rare. I find these boxes have items they can't sell and/or don't work for me. I have to admit, I like the "excitement" of receiving a surprise but have found these mystery boxes not worth it.

The average beauty box is enough mystery for me, since I don't order them if the items are not new to me, or there is a staple included, like a full size Benefit mascara.  Then the other items are almost free.

No--not a fan of them. The few I bought was full of hair conditioner, which I never use, or facial cleansers, or masks--again I am not a mask girl or gawd awful dark goth matte lipsticks and some horrible perfume samples---

No, I do not buy them. They usually have one or two good items. The rest is made up of dead merchandise or slow sellers.

I don't buy them. It's like throwing money to the wind. I like to know what I am getting, not the leftovers dregs.

I remember way back in my younger days there used to be a monthly subscription beauty box that was fun - until I realized I had a ton of unused products that I would never use.

Serious Skin Care, when they were on HSN, used to do a "mystery" box around Halloween that usually had good value products, plus always something new to try, for great prices.

Now I see those TILI boxes but will only buy them if I know that I will use 80-90% of the products, AND it's a sale/clearance price, AND free shipping.  So, you can guess that I don't buy many.

The Serious Skin Care mystery boxes were the best.  Products were always usable and the prices were very reasonable.  If I remember correctly, the trick was to click on ingredients on the HSN website, and there you could see all the products listed with their ingredients.  Mystery solved!

Principal Secret does this, but I've never used anything they sent, though the prices were always very good. They say they choose the pieces according to what your purchases have been.
