Re: My MEN WEN experience...

Based on the descriptions of the spice, I ordered this and it came today. I agree about the menthol smell when smelling right out of the bottle, but that faded when I rubbed it on my hand. The cardamom really came through. Mmmm. I really like this scent. I will use it tomorrow.

I love this. ALLOT..

I would love this scent in a candle and oil please :-)

Oh man..this in an oil would be amazing. Then I could add a couple drops to my unscented JM body butter and be in heaven ALL day.

Oh yes! an oil WOULD be amazing!

Sadly, the cc was drying for my hair (rice based just like BGT haven't worked for me) but I LOVE the scent and can't wait for Christmas to have DH start using it!

Re: My MEN WEN experience...

I wanted to give hubby a few days using his new cleanser before asking him what he thought, so here are mine and his reviews. For me, well, it's rice based, so was not expecting it to be very moisturizing as BGT is drying for me, and the mens was drying for me. I used it twice and it performs just like the BGT on my hair. Scent is nice, I find the menthol scent not so prevalent when on the hair and found the scent a earthy man perfume scent. Now hubby, he is on the fence, he does like the scent, but he says its not as good as fig is for him. I do not notice his hair drying out like mine as far as I can feel, but he notices the difference and only used the mens three times before using his fig again. I suggested tomorrow he try mixing the two. So bottom line, neither of us jumping up and down raving about it, but it is a nice scent for a mans product, he liked it as a shower cream and if Chaz comes out with a RTM in this hubby wants some and if hubby likes using it with fig it may be a repurchase down the road for him, time will tell.

Re: My MEN WEN experience...

I didn't find it drying, but it doesn't have as much body as the cc's I am used to using. My hair is very soft and I catch whiffs of the spice. Yummy. I want to mix it with the FGP to see what that smells like.

Re: My MEN WEN experience...

I am still so in love with Wen Men. I am just glad I got it on A/D. Performs almost identical to BGT for me, which is my all-time favorite.

Maybe if people find it drying..could mix it with some Fig?

Thanks Denise! I know we tend to like/use the same CCs so this pretty much seals it for me that I will have to pass on WEN Men. After I read some of the reviews, hubby said he wanted to pass too. Bummer. Thanks for your (and his!) review. Smiley Happy

I pretty much expected I was not going to be able to use it due to the rice, my hair likes the wheat based cleansers best. Did have high hopes that hubby could use it though, we will see how it does mixed with fig, I already did a test dab to see how the scent would be and it's a nice mix. Both of us would love a RTM in the scent!

Re: My MEN WEN experience...

Hey guys! I'm really looking into purchasing Wen Men to try, but I was wondering... does it leave a lingering smell? I was born without a sense of smell.

Also, what scent of the styling products do you think would complement the Wen Men scent?

Re: My MEN WEN experience...

Smell is a very funny thing. The very first time I tried Wen Men and I'm a female, it is now my favorite. I cannot be without it. I'm glad it's not just seasonal. To me it smells like in the old days when you got a fresh hair cut and they dusted the back of your neck with that powder. I think it smells fabulous and the results on my hair are extremely satisfactory to me. I use it to cleanse my body in the shower too. I hope it comes out in gallons and a matching styling creme.
