More Expired Products from QVC

I recently purchased a Bobbi Brown lipstick from QVS in Telluride. When I checked the batch date, I discovered it was made in 2013. (5 years 7 months ago) this lipstick expired 3 years ago!!! I could not believe it.

QVC gave me a refund; however, this is just not good enough anymore. Since November of last year, I’ve received 4 expired Bobbi products from QVC alone 4!! (Few more from PTR)

I contacted Bobbi Brown global customer support back then and they clearly did nothing. I don’t know what else to do. I check the batch dates but many people would not think or know how to check them. Especially on a lipstick.

If you’re reading this, please check your batch dates because QVC AND Bobbi Brown clearly don’t care.

Oh wow! Would’ve thought Q is not doing such stuff.

I got some expired cream from Evine, Consult Beaute. The rancid smell made me nauseous. Where can I check the batch expiration date, p,ease, because the only code on the cream is a batch number.

TIA!

I buy very little beauty stuff from QVC, and this makes me less likely to even look at ordering any more.

Re: More Expired Products from QVC

I use either checkfresh.com or checkcosmetic.net, but there’s a few more online. Just enter ‘cosmetic batch codes’ in google.

Theres a few brands like Tarte that don’t disclose their codes, not sure why.

After years of shopping with QVC/HSN/EVINE I’m convinced that these ‘good deals’ are just a way for these makeup or skincare companies to get rid off older stock. It’s happen way too much to be a conicedence.

Re: More Expired Products from QVC

...oh and all you do, is enter the batch code you find on the product into the appropriate field and the website will decode the batch # for you and tell you when it was made.

Depending on the product, shelf life will be different.
For example, I was told by the Bobbi rep that their unused lipstick should be good for about 3 yrs.
Personally, I don’t want to purchase products that’s are close to their expiration dates either. As a consumer I expect a product that way made within last 12 months not few years.

Thank you, @IslaRose, I checked on those websites but they say they do ‘t provide anything about Consult Beaute.

Re: More Expired Products from QVC

how long has it been since bobbi brown products have been featured on qvc?

it has been a long time i think.

it is not even her company anymore......since 1995  it has been owned by estee lauder.

she herself pulled out totally in 2016 i believe.

i am sure whatever qvc has in stock in its warehouses is pretty old. personally, i would not take chance. probably better to order it via nordstrom or sephora.

sorry that you had this experience, but glad it was easy for you to get a full refund from qvc.

Re: More Expired Products from QVC

Starting to wonder myself what's going on. I read a review on JOSIE MARAN'S website that the body butter sold directly from there is a much better formula than what QVC sells for her. I sure hope tha't not the case. I believe that happened with WEN products as well. All I can say is retailers should be honest & fair to their customers. It's the only way to be successful.

Re: More Expired Products from QVC

I don’t know about other brands but with Bobbi, the items get shipped directly from a Bobbi warehouse not QVC. So it’s Bobbi who is knowingly selling 5-6 year old makeup to QVC consumers. (Maybe thinking they won’t notice/aren’t so savvy) Of course, if QVC cared they would ****** this in the butt and it would not happen anymore.

@IslaRose  I would say it’s a fairly good bet that if a line like Bobbi Brown has not had an on air show in years and many online products have been discontinued on their site for a long time, chances are Q’s inventory is old. Where else would products come from if BB hasn’t made it in forever?
