May Coop Raw Sauce: toner question

It has been years since I have used a toner. I stopped using one because I noticed there was no difference when I did use one.

I decided to start investing more time in skin care and saw all the stars-read reviews-and bought it.

So, here is my confusion. In reading reviews, it sounds as if some apply it using a cotton ball, but one said you need very little-that 3 or 4 drops would suffice.... It's a big bottle, but I hate waste....any comments?

This morning I will be using it for the first time. I am doing a NuFace treatment first....

Thanks for opinions,

Re: May Coop Raw Sauce: toner question

You can apply this emulsion any way you want.  Use a cotton pad or shake a few drops into your palm, rub your palms together and pat on your face.  Easy!

I use a travel sized plastic spray bottle to spritz on a similar type of emulsion from Missha.  If the Raw Sauce is watery enough, this may be a good solution.

I love Missha Time Revolution First Essence but would love to hear your thoughts about the Raw Sauce after you've used it for a while.

@Poodlepet2  I use a Korean essence (Tony Moly Galactomyces Lite Essence) immediately after cleansing, prior to any other skincare treatment products.  While not technically a toner, its consistency and appllication is similar.  There is a lot of waste when using a cotton ball or cotton pad.  I cup my hand and put a few drops in there (I don't count drops, but maybe about the size of a nickel or slightly less - you'll get a feel for the right amount), rub my hands together and apply it to my face, then pat/press it in.

Raw Sauce is not a toner. It is an essence. As I understand it, an essence is a very lightweight serum. Great product!

I use something similar and I just shake a little in my hands and press it into my face. It would be a total waste to put it on a cotton ball.

Re: May Coop Raw Sauce: toner question

I thought there was something going on with the word "essence"-but "toner" was also used in the product description.

What is an essence?

@River Song, I am glad I found you-I think! I believe you and Happy Daze were discussing Korean skin care. From the basis of your conversation, I ordered the Misha BB....shade 21 is light and I can't use it alone, but with foundation, wow! It really softens lines! I bought the shade 23 also: interestingly, it has totally different packaging. It goes on this funky shade of grey but recalibrated to a more natural tone, but I still can't wear it alone. No problem: the immediate benefits are amazing.

Misha is not something I have ever read about...tell me about products you are using.

Thanks,

I use Tatcha Essence after cleansing whch is a serum w skin benifits, its very hydrating & gives such a smooth finish.. I put about 3 or 4 drops in my palm & pat it on my face. Basically an Essence does make whatever skin products you use such as serums, moisturizers penatrate more deeply into your skin. I use Thayers's Rose toner sometimes with a cotton round to take off makeup that may be missed with a cleanser. I also love Rose Petal Water Spray. as another hydrating product!   PS For me, I find using an essence has made my skin much more normal than normal/dry. I have been using it for about 5 months, first getting a travel size.
