Another vote for the IT eye palette. Both of the IT palettes are wonderful, but I'm loving the new one. Neutrals, soft and blendable.

I have the same problem. I just purchased the YBF pallette and LOVE it. It is all Italian, matte so smooth looking and feeling. I have tried all the above listed and I like this the best! Good Luck!

I use Bobbi Brown cream in Stone and also Slate. I also like the Naked Basics 2 palette by Urband Decay, and the matte palette by IT (last year's)...also like Too Faced matte palette.

The Balm has 2 Matte eyeshadow palettes Meet Matt(e) I have the smaller one that I love it has 9 wearable eyeshadows. I love matt eyeshadows I am so over shimmer!!

I have some of the shadows mentioned, some Mac, some IT, Bobbi Brown.

I would definitely recommend the Paula's Choice palette, watch for sales, and free ship promos.

But I must say, nothing beats my collection of Mercier shadows for blending. They are beautiful. Perhaps just start with one colour you would use everyday. Nordstrom has free shipping and returns, so a good place to buy. So does Sephora. Also use rebate sites for alittle extra cash back.
