I would love to have some great suggestions on some matte eye shadows that go on smooth. These poor eye are aging and all the shimmery type looks hideous on me. I normally wear neutrals due to having strawberry blonde hair and light skin.
Thanks!!

Hi Lovboyds, I would recommend Bobbi Brown cosmetics eye shadows. She has wonderful neutral matte shades that blend easily. I know because I worked for her. Hope this helps.
Best,

I highly recommend Laura Mercier matte shadows, just about the best around and geared toward aging eyes -- very smooth and well-pigmented.
If you want a palette, here would be my top choices: Paula's Choice matte shadow palette has a very nice selection of neutral mattes, with one shadow that is demi-matte and nice used lightly in the inner corners or dotted right about the lash line in the center; It Cosmetics has two matte shadow palettes that I just purchased, and I think they are of exceptional quality -- they are mostly neutral but with a couple nice shades for a little contrast.
There are other matte palettes that are also nice from Stila, Too Faced, and TheBalm.

I would definitely recommend either of the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palettes, but I think this year's Celebration palette has more neutrals than last year's. It's a great deal right now, with a brush included. All the shadows in the kit are matte, with the exception of one that can be used as a highlighter or whisper of shimmer over the matte, but you could just avoid that one if you prefer. The shadows go on very easily and can also be used wet to make a liner.

Thank you so much ladies! You have been very helpful with suggestions. Is Paula's Choice something that can just be purchased online only?

Yes. It's available on the Paula's Choice website. It is $40. She often has sales or promos.

The ombre shimmer is not glittery and adds just a little boost. If you care, the Paula's Choice palette is made with mineral oil, talc and parabens. Certainly not a good deal for $40.
The vast majority of premium eye shadows are made with talc. Laura Mercier, for example, uses talc in her eye shadows, and IMO, they are the smoothest, most creamy shadows on the market.
Cosmetic-grade mineral oil is perfectly safe, soothing, and rarely causes any irritation.
There is no credible data to support the fear regarding parabens.
If a person objects to those ingredients, however, and never uses any products that contain them, then, no, the PC palette would not be for that person.
