I am looking for a mascara that I can wear with contacts that won't leave me looking like a raccoon. Has anyone had success with any on the Q or any place else?

@hennypenny

I've discovered Billion Dollar Beauty, "BDB". I found it at Marshall's for $3.99. They also have a website. It gives me length and thickens my eyelashes. It doesn't bother my eyes or contact lenses. Good luck on your search. 🙂

Or worse......like you have spiders stuck to your eyes.

lol!

I don't want to look scary but my old lady lashes are very pale and you really can't tell they are there. I would just like something that makes them show up with out looking like Tammy Fae Baker.

I have worn scleral lenses for the past 20 years and normal contact lenses before that.  So I have always had issues with mascara and raccoon eyes. What works the best for me are tubing mascaras, I have tried thrive causemtics and caliray.

Good morning @hennypenny . I don't wear contacts, but prefer a non-flaking, natural looking mascara. I've used L'Oreal Voluminous for  a decade. I've tried many expensive ones and they are too mch volume/length and have not looked like natural lashes.

The trick I use to get a natural look: When you remove the wand from the tube, wipe it lightly on a kleenex before applying. Do the samee for a second coat. I've found two lighter coats applied like this is better than a heavy coat or two of mascara.

***If you don't mind spending more, Bobbi Brown's Smokey Eye Mascara is an iconic mascara to the brand. It doesn't flake and gives a very natural look while giving  length and volume. I wait until a sale to purchase it and buy several for special occasions only.

@hennypenny  - I don't wear contacts but I also wear L'Oreal Voluminous mascara and have for a long time.  It doesn't flake or get that spidery or clumpy look.  Like @Shanus commented, I lightly wipe the mascara wand on a tissue before applyiing and I have no issue with clumping or that spidery look.

As @HollyChase recommended, tubular mascaras perform very well. I favor Trish McEvoy's  3 types. For my lower lashes, the IT Cosmetics Tightline mascara is perfect. It coats those little lashes so that they show up without overdoing it.
