I was just watching a demonstration on a particular mascara that is very highly rated. I can’t get over how bad the models eyelashes always look. Clumpy and spidery. Is this what QVC really thinks that we want?

Would you care to share the brand?

Don't know which model or mascara you're referring to but there's one demo they do where the model's lashes are soooo long - too long.  I don't think they're attractive whatsoeer.

Huge clumpy lashes appear to be the style.  I don't know how any young women I've seen with those giant eye lashes.  It is this generation's update of bright blue eye shadow.

None of my younger friends wear their mascara that way. Most of them don't even wear it.

Those lashes scared my DH and he made me promise I wouldn't do mine that way. Why would I? Yuck

I'm not sure what you were watching because today seems to be all about gardening.

Most mascara demos I see on QVC would be a deterrent for many people.  I think they cake too many coats of mascara on which results in clumpy lashes.  In reality I'm betting many of the mascaras aren't that bad.

They always use models with super long lashes. How are we supposed to see if it really does what they say if they use it on someone blessed with beautiful long lashes?

I hate when they do mascara demos, and the models just keep putting more and more on, and eventually they end up with eye lashes that most of us in the "Real World" wouldn't do......

Just show us what one or two coats will do! Most of the models have used some sort of lash lengthening product, and that is why their lashes are super long before any mascara is applied.

I think they think that showing us those super long lashes will get us to buy the product faster.....

There is a beautiful blonde model named Autumn, and she has such nice skin, but they have so much makeup on her, it almost ruins her looks, less is really more in this case.
