. . . .

This isn't exactly a makeup blunder but another time way back I was in a hurry and grabbed furniture polish instead of hairspray.

Oh my! This reminded me of when my Dad thought he had taken the Visine out of the medicine cabinet but in fact took out the Binanca breath drops. Ouch!!

Thanks to all of you for the most laughs I've had in a long time. Not too long ago, I put on my lipstick and then used Chapstick (cherry flavored). I spent at least twenty minutes talking to the girl at the desk at the beauty shop. When I got in my car, I noticed that the Chapstick/lipstick was now about 1/2 below my bottom lip. It had all smeared. lol! Oh, well, at least my hair looked good.

Oh dear! One of my biggest fears is mistaking a bottle of krazy glue for my eye drops. I have to be very careful!

My biggest mistake took place in my teens and twenties when I over tweezed my eyebrows. Then in my late 30s got thyroid problems and my hair lost the red pigment that is part of auburn hair and my lashses and brows became translucent!

No amount of regrowth has occurred so I keep both with me at all times because brows really do frame the face and lashes frame the eyes and my face needs some definition!

Mistake, wow did I. We lost power for 7 full days October a year ago so had to go out to eat in the next city, only 10 minutes away, anyway, one evening I put my makeup on in front of my makeup mirror but using a flashlight. Let me tell you, try to use a flashlight with one hand and put makeup on. When I got to the restaurant DH said what did you put on yourself, not a good look. I went into the ladies room and saw I put my lip liner on my brows and put my brow pencil on my lips(always fill in my lips or did at that time). I usually wear a soft pink or very soft rose lipstain or gloss. I also grabbed my bronzer(only use this in summer) compact instead of my blush for my cheeks and used way too much. I am a light medium and I looked like a clown let me tell you. No one said anything of course other than DH but I could see them looking at me. Very embarrassing.

I would say it would have to be with a foundation or tinted moisturizer that was too yellow for my skin. I actually noticed that same mistake on Mally's TSV today with 2 models. One was too yellow and the other too orange. Bad look.

My hairstylist just told me that she sprayed her face with dry body oil thinking that it was setting spray. She said it was such a oily mess that she had to redo hmer makeup. I put face cream in my hair thinking it was texturizing paste.
