@monicakm We're still in the same house that we raised the kids in and it's been over thirty years.  While it as its drawbacks (stairs) I like the room for just the two of us.

I have the main bathroom & DH now has the hall bath.  Both bathrooms were renovated within the last year so both are nice and up to date with plenty of storage.

I think this is the one my daughter had in the 90s Smiley Happy  She graduated (hs) in 2000.  I hoped she would be the makeup enthusiast my mother and I are but sadly, no.  Where did I go wrong!? (g)  I guess the makeup gene skipped a generation.  My granddaughter inherited the gene Smiley Happy  All my daughter wears are lash extensions.

@haddon9

We're still in the same house we raised our daughter (only child) in too.  She's 42.  Today is DH's and my 44th anniversary Smiley Happy  We built our house and signed the papers the day she was due.  She ended up being 3 weeks late.  In 42 years we've doubled the size of the house and remodeled every room as well as changing a living room into a dining room.  Next on the list in renovating my office after the first of the year.  And glitter will be on an accent wall just like in my bathroom Smiley Happy

No stairs for us thank goodness but your bathroom scenario sounds just like ours.

A few years back, I bought a white wooden makeup organizer from QVC, that I think was from Lori Greiner.  It looks like a big jewelry box and holds a lot.  I have it sitting between the sinks on my bathroom counter.

I loved my caboodles and still have 2 that I bought either in high school and college.  One is at my parents house and I keep some items in it for when I stay there.  The other one I've used for years but mostly for school things.  My first job had me traveling between 2 schools.  People would take things out of my room when I wasn't there, so I used one of the caboodles to carry my supplies like tape, scissors, etc!   I also used it for change when I did book fairs, back before they sent you a cash drawer and register.  It was just the right thing with it's different comparments.

@monicakm   Happy wedding anniversary to you and your husband Smiley HappyHeart! That's so cute that you daughter had the same Caboodle that I have now!  That's interesting that your daughter doesn't have makeup as a hobby the same way that you do- I'm sure she admires your skill and enthusiasm though!! I love how your office is going to  have a glitter accent wall- so glamorous! Smiley Happy

Thank you @SportyShorty07

The office remodel of 2002 is a Serengeti look.   I'm more than ready for a change. Everything will be in white and silver/gray with the only pop of color being a pink office chair.  Black and white horse photos on the walls.

That sounds like a great color scheme and the black and white horse photos will add some nice movement and drama to the walls- and the pink office chair sounds amazing!  @monicakm  I love the color pink so I wholeheartedly approve of a pink office chair! Smiley Happy

I still have my Caboodle from the 80's!   It's in great shape and I store some skin care items in it.  I use an Origami 5 drawer cart with a wooden top (HSN 804-879) to hold my skin care and makeup.  I have organizers in several drawers and some make up bags in others to hold specific collections.  I put on makeup in the bathroom (husband and I use separate bathrooms).  The cart has rollers so I can keep it in a linen closet until I need it and then roll it beside the sink to use.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

My everyday make up case is the Lug Trolley.  I think it's the medium size.  I keep it in the linen closet in the bathroom.

If you feel ike you always bend to your hubs, can you talk to him about it?  This sounds like a battle of wills that could become a bigger problem. Or can bend on this one and agree next time he bends to you?

My brother in law MUST have Tide Laundry Detergent.  It's what his mother used.  (vomit).  My sister never liked the smell of Tide.  We always used unscented.  I chuckle when see the giant container of Tide in their laundry room.
