Totally agree @ Tinkrbl44
I am amazed so many other posters seem to think it’s ok for a service provider to “discuss” a client on social media.
You know the saying…”it’s a small world”
Not unusual for someone out there to know of this TF person being talked about

I couldn't name one movie that is currently playing at theaters.  I'm sure I wouldn't even recognize the names of any current movies if someone told me.  I couldn't tell you who the big time actresses and actors are right now.  So if someone told me was a Tammy Faye movie out right now, it would be news to me.

@monicakm    welllll The Eyes of Tammy Faye  has been out a month or two now and the film notwithstanding,  just about everyone on the planet knows of Tammy Faye Bakker unless they were born yesterday

Mimosa, I live in Los Angeles, which probably has a higher than normal amount of movie theaters all over the place, and I haven't seen that movie advertised anywhere.   Not even once.   Or is it on cable?

Actually, until you added the name "Bakker" I even wasn't sure who that woman was .... maybe Tammy Wynette?  LOL   As for "everyone on the planet" knowing who she was .... surely, you jest.

TF? She's listed in the Urban Dictionary?  but that content may fit a particular demographic not typical here

The act of applying large amounts of makeup to the face.
One who wears too much makeup.
My mother looks just like Tammy Faye with all of that makeup on.

When a woman of much make-up cries... and their eye makeup runs down the face, making huge raccoon rings around their eyes.
Wish I didn't wear makeup today, after I saw that movie I came out of there with a total Tammy Faye.

@Tinkrbl44   Really?!?!?  Did I use her name? Do docs discuss cases without patients' names? You bet they do. Behind someone's back is if everyone knew who the client was by name.

This is much better than calling out hosts and models for size/makeup/hair AND using their names. That's hurtful.

@Shanus

LOL ... well, I certainly didn't expect you to agree with me, but I posted my comment late last night and when I woke up 6 people had already hearted my comment, so I wasn't the only one to see it this way.  Maybe it was just more attention-getting for you?

BTW ....   If doctors discuss patients' cases, it's usually done with other doctors, and not on message boards.  You really can't see the difference?

Hey, it's a public message board and people can post whatever they want, within the guidelines.  Obviously, not everyone will agree with me, but I just felt your talking the way you did about a paying client was unprofessional ... and tacky.  JMO

ITA .... it's VERY unprofessional to do this, and  justifying it because it's anonymous so the client will never know ..... Huh?  So that is supposed to make it okay?  I think not.

@Tinkrbl44  -  you're assuming this involves a 'professional', pretty obvious it is not!

Wow .... I have to say this really surprises me.

I can't imagine her being what's sometimes referred to as a  "household word" ....  anywhere in the world.  Yikes.

I don't know then!  She obviously enjoys the sessions or she wouldn't keep coming back!  She's a good paying customer and she seems to leave happy, so I wouldn't worry about it.  Who knows the reasons why people do what they do?  These sessions seem to fill some kind of need for her.....

I have a sweeter than anything client who comes in for a facial every 3-4 months and about every 6 months comes in for a new makeup look/lesson.

It never fails that she has a full face of heavy, full coverage foundation, too dark blush/lips and the heaviest eye makeup, fake lashes, too. She insists on going back to this look even though she pays me for a more natural look since she's 67 and says she wants to wear less makeup. When I complete her more toned down look, she loves it, purchases the items I've used (I write them down for everyone to purchase wherever, don't sell products) and she buys them all, but comes back in every time with her same Tammy Faye look.

I'm so frustrated, but she's so sweet. Any suggestions what I can tell her?

I don't know why you're so frustrated.

You need suggestions from us on what to tell her?

She's so sweet.

Why tell her anything?

Would you tell a fellow poster here that her make up is garish?

Shanus would never say to anyone that they look garish! She didn't even put it that way as she was telling us.

@ShanusI would think it a kindness if someone were to show me a better way to do things!  I'm so grateful for all my instructors, teachers, professors, mentors who said in essence: "Don't do it this way; do it that way!" (Which always turned out to be the better way...sometimes after long reflection, trial & error!)

I think you ought to keep doing what you are doing, perhaps saying things in different ways (like you were asking of us). At least you know that for 1 day she does look more attractive because of what you've done!
