@freakygirl

Yes, for me it's easy to clip on. Just part my hair, clip it in and comb my hair over it to make it blend in. Stays put all day.

For those of you who wear wigs on a regular basis is there a brand that is your favorite?  I've been thinking about purchasing a wig and your input would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.  :-)

I have worn wigs for almost 14 years due to major hair loss.  Most of the wigs I have used are either Toni Brattin or Hairdo.  I like both, but probably lean more towards Toni's.  Hairdo has some cute styles, but seem to be extra thick with hair.  Toni's cover nicely, but generally not as thick.  I did return a couple of wigs from TSV for Hairdo this past December.  Cute basic style, but something about the top of the wigs made it not lay right on my head for some reason and I wasn't able to style the top to look right on me.  Colorwise, I normally like either Brown Blonde or Medium Brown with Ginger.  The one with Ginger is my favorite, usually.  I wish Toni did this color.   I like Toni's Brown Blonde better than Hairdo because Toni's is a more subtle blond highlight where Hairdo, at least the newer ones, seem so heavy with blond.  Most people don't know I wear wigs.  I think it is important to not try to make it too "perfect" looking.  I comb thru with a very wide tooth comb and then shake mine and finger style before putting it on.  Sometimes I use Aussie's "Hair Insurance" on it, then shake and it gives is a kind of  "piecy" look and adds a bit of shine, which is nice as the wig gets older. Also, to anchor it to my head, I spray hairspray on my little bit of hair at my forehead and then the bottom of my hairline at the back of my neck.  Keeps it pretty anchored....even on windy days Smiley Wink

Many years ago, my mother and I tried on wigs together.  We had so much fun and laughed so much!  And, we each bought a wig.  When I got it home, mine was all matted from teasing, and I couldn't get the mats out.  I had originally thought I was getting a new, non-tested wig.  When I realized it was matted, I thought that it must be the one she had styled on me, so I didn't think I could bring it back.  I regret that, because I never wore the wig because of the matting.

Mom got a short style.  Really cute.  Like you,  she has very curly hair, and this was a straighter style, and it looked great on her.  But she wasn't never comfortable wearing it ... too self conscious.

Mom moved to assisted living one year ago today.  When I was clearing out her things to sell the house, I put HER short, blond wig on, and asked my SO if I should cut and/or bleach my hair.  He blurted out "NO!" so fast.  Pretty funny.

@Shanus .... I hope you love it and have fun with it!

@Shanus, I did purchase wigs from a wig store during a period where my hair started thinning from Hashimoto's. Once I had it treated my hair came back so I no longer wear them.

I found that the only wig I really wore was the real hair wig. The difference was noticeable. Not one single wig I purchased looked real enough for me and some were in the $350.00 range. The price was prohibitive on the real hair wig but it looked the most natural. It is the exact duplicate of my light blonde hair and I do feel comfortable wearing it. It isn't that really full look that some wigs have...

Hope you enjoy your purchase.

I ordered a Toni Brattin hairpiece years ago.  Couldn’t get a color match & the clips broke immediately.  Last fall I purchased a Gabor wig.  I love it.  It is so light I forget I have it on.  It is true you just shake & put it on.  I did buy other wig caps because the one they sent was just a nylon.  I got the adoration wig & will buy another when on again.
