New exotic oils mean new possibilities, new products to try.
People who are into oils as their primary skincare are really into them. Since different oils contain different fatty acid profiles and antioxidant properties etc...it makes sense that oil aficionados would try to find precisely the right potion/blend for their skin concerns.
And yes I agree, the actives created or duplicated in labs are purer and can be made stronger. I think people underestimate how advanced chemistry really is. It's like the difference between spending all day eating oranges to get your vitamin C vs taking a vitamin with bioflavonoids.

Vanicream is a product sold in a large jar with or without pump dispenser...its a thick, rich cream. Vanicream also makes bar soaps, shampoos, lotions, and several other products. I use the cream sold in the jar, and the bar soaps. I've used the shampoo/conditioner too, but I prefer my salon products.

@Dazlin wrote:@Shanus...Josie now has CBD oil...she describes plants its grown from...supposedly for stressed skin. I honestly don't know what to think about all these rare claimed ingredients . As for myself, I would proceed with great caution, and if I even thought to try this, I would have to ask my skin drs at Mayo (as they only reccomend Vanicream)...I keep in my mind...my drs are adamant about gentle skin care...less complicated ingredients, seem best. What's next🙄
I believe that is Hemp oil, not CBD oil. CBD oil has medical benefits and is controlled in many states.

@Icegoddess...I just re-checked her site...Josie has a new oil that contains 100mg of CBD oil, plant derived. I believe its mixed in with her Argon Oil. I recieved an email from her, that's how i first saw it.
You can view it on her own website.
I'll pass on using this one.

@Shanus It does sound good, doesn't it?
I like the idea of using/eating as natural a product as possible, but each brand has to really describe why it's product is so much better for me. Just because it's organic or rare, doesn't mean I should use it, and pay a premium for it's advertising.
In addition, a person can have adverse reactions, even when using rare, foraged, or all natural ingredients. Poison ivy is all natural, but I don't want it on my face. ![]()

@Dazlin, I'll skip it too. While CBD oil has some medical benefits, specifically for severe epilepsy, it seems everybody is jumping on the CBD oil bandwagon as though it's some sort of magical ingredient. I know my state only recently de-criminalized the possession of it and only if it has no THC in it. I had a woman in a hypothyroid group I'm in really pushing it on me even though I told her I felt fine and didn't need anything to feel better. Hemp, on the other hand, is supposed to be a very good moisturizer.
