I really hope that Courtney is not going to be the "successor" to Lisa. I have nothing against her just don't see her as one of "premier" hosts. Lisa has been there so long that it is difficult to see someone else in the forefront. As for PM Style, I would rather see Sandra as the primary host rather than Courtney, or even Nancy.

It will be Courtney. She has been groomed for this position. Lisa has known she had another opportunity prior to last night.

Actually, w/o the personal attacks, there is potential here for an interesting discussion.
happy housewife...Until you mentioned it, I had not considered the management change.
I was contemplating the financial implications, which could be substantial, initially. I think that a shift in demographics is also a possibility. Those shoppers who gravitated toward Lisa's GILI line are unlikely to migrate to the Quacker. Without a more trendy substitute, some of those GILI customers will translate into lost sales. I think it is fair to say that jewelry sales (particularly gold) have been off for a while. The shows from Italy have become shorter and fewer. I'm not sure that I can picture Dan Hughes at the Villa del Piazza, selling jewelry by candlelight! So, that's probably another financial loss. Those 2 areas will be impacted the most. It's too early to predict the duration of the financial hit, but I'm sure they are thinking about it, now. OMG...forgot about the beauty department..could be another hit!!
</ Im sorry that you took my post wrong. Of course, I think and have said, that Lisa was their top salesperson. No other host generated the sales she did. I was referring to the comment made by Luvmycats, where she answered the post and said it was very sad. She never misses an opportunity to bash Lisa and that's why I made that comment. Anyone on here that knows me, knows that when something nasty or vile is said about Lisa, I'll be the first to defend her. I love her as a host and I think she's a very sweet person to everyone she comes in contact with. I will miss her, they'll never be another Lisa, IMO. Take care.

I could see Sandra or I could see Shawn moving up the ladder but definitely not someone like Courtney. Besides she's fairly new and I don't think I've ever seen her host a show on her own. As far as Lisa is concerned, let's not forget she was on Project Runway, did the fashion shows in LA and in NY, where she was exposed to many influential people, so she knows many people in the fashion industry and in TV. I remember when Donald Trump was on the Q selling his book and she hosted the show, he said he'd love her to come work for him. So no one knows in what direction Lisa will be going. I wish her only the best.On 10/10/2014 wakefield64 said:I really hope that Courtney is not going to be the "successor" to Lisa. hopeQ1, good post!!
Also in reply to someone who stated that they couldn't believe anyone would buy more just because of Lisa. It's believable as someone who liked Lisa as a host would probably watch and see things they liked and bought - NOT JUST BECAUSE LISA INFLUENCED THEM.

I will miss Lisa as I have watched her for years on QVC. I also live near her hometown so I was able to met her when she was Miss Tennessee. She was a down to earth and delightful personality.
I found this article and could not imagine having to deal with Stalkers. I am sure she is ready to have privacy and her own life now maybe out of the public eye.
Good luck Lisa with your new life.

Now that the dust is starting to settle after the initial explosion, I'm revising my earlier prediction on the financial hole that may be created with Lisa's departure. I think that it may turn out to be more of an abyss than a hole. I know that it may be hard for the Lisa "greenies" to accept, but she is/was a huge part of what makes QVC successful and that "bottom line" has her name on it.
Yes, Lisa is a great salesperson, but we don't know the financial details of the corporation. With declining profits and new management in place, don't you think it's possible that it was not Lisa's decision to leave? Recently, people have been posting about GILI bags at the outlets for under 100. Perhaps the GILI line was not as profitable for QVC as they had hoped. Or flying her to Italy to sell Bronzo was not as profitable. She has certainly earned her place as the stylish, sophisticated face of QVC. If new management needed to make changes, maybe Lisa's presence did not fit in their plan. Unfortunate.
