Have used 2 other kalidescope eye shadow packs. Excellent quality but never have been able to use them up. At Neiman's, eye shadow packs alone are close to $100.

Also used up Radiance Powder Rouge (not offered at QVC) which I will buy again.

I am very interested in trying this line but there is NO information available about the shades.  I have looked on many other sites about the differences between the shades and I can't tell how they are different, other than the light shade has a yellow undertone.   I cannot tolerate any yellow, so I am unable to make a decision.   Nothing is said online about the shades, in fact they say to go to beautyiq.com where there is nothing.  So they are losing a sale.  Sad.

@Daysdee Are you asking about the Special Value specifically or the line in general?  I'll answer both:

The value of the set is very good. There is no argument there. The Kaleidoscope is a great deal if you can use all the shades and is perfect for travel as the lid pops up to reveal a mirror. The Skin Treatment foundation is excellent as long as the shade works for you (the texture is amazing) and the eye liner is good- I like the brush they use and wish more were like this. Shade wise, the presentation fails. I'm hoping that tonight there will be more showing and discussing about them. It comes over (pictures as well as Hilton describing them) as a neutral pink with shimmer, a light lavender, a HOT lavender and Cognac...a shade no one could be bothered to describe. It LOOKS like a reddish brown taupe and is meant as a transition shade. 

Now for the line: I LOVE some of their products and HATE some of their products. So far their skin care has sucked except for the face and eye skin tightening product. EXCELLENT. The masks smell terrible and you receive an ounce in a big jar of the product...which you need to use a LOT of in order to peel them off. One jar gives you 4-5 masks....over the top for what you get result wise. The moisturizers are nice but none are hydrating enough for me. I've found that many of their lip and cheek colors (creams and glosses) are harsh shade-wise and pull orange. I've yet to find a lipstick, gloss or blush that works with my coloring. Their powder and base products are too dark/too yellow/too orange. Their mascara, when it isn't dried out in the tube, is FANTASTIC. Their kaleidoscope's are hit or miss for me; there is usually (the misses) a shade that is way off of anything I can or will ever wear. Sometimes they throw in a blush instead of an eyeshadow. The neutral set sold on QVC is one of the best neutral sets I've ever purchased. Their eye pencil is fantastic; no pulling, no tugging, it goes on like silk.

The best way to try this line is via QVC and their special deals, IMHO. HTH : )

I ordered the "Steal" despite concerns about the foundation color.  They all look like they pull warm to me -which is not good for me- but once on the models' faces they didn't look too warm, so I decided to give them a try.  When swatched on the arm they also didn't look like they went from light to dark.  In fact, the Medium looked lighter than the Light on one swatching demo.  So I'll just have to wait and see when the kit arrives.

@SahmIamThank you for your response with so much good information.  I did order the "deal."  If I chose the wrong shade, it will be a return, but if I like it maybe an exchange.  They don't show colors well enough on QVC.  Also, many times they don't say what color the models are wearing.  Dollar wise, if the shades are all good and if they create a good look, the price was very good.  I will post after I try the items.  Mine haven't shipped yet (of course!).

I purchased the Cool Metals Eyeshadow palette a few months ago and wrote a review.

Even though I have an embaressing collection of eye shadow palettes, this one remains in my top drawer. The shades are unique and leave a sheen on the lid that I didnt expect to love. Also, they have outstanding customer service and really are into their products.
