@Mindy D   I'm aware of that.  My point is that QVC often uses Zulilly as an outlet store.

@2blonde   Not really.  All, or at least most, brands are there at one time or another.  I've purchased Josie Maran (all regular products, at great prices!); Kitchenaid, Dooney & Bourke, Isaac Mizrahi, Dennis Basso, and Or Paz jewelry, just to name a few.  We know those brands aren't going anywhere.

In fact, when I see things presented on QVC on-air, I first go to Zulily to see what's there in that brand that I may prefer and has a steal of a price.

Also, now QVC has the daily TSV on Zulily's site that you can purchase there (at the same TSV price), as well.

@Caaareful Shopper   I think you misunderstood my statement.  "Outlet" store does not have the same meaning as "closeout."  I also said QVC often uses Zulilly as an outlet, I didn't mean it always uses it that way.

Thank you @2blonde for that kind clarification.  I think I did indeed misunderstand what you meant.  Understood.

Re: Laura Geller filing bankruptcy?

I am confused about the bankruptcy.  Why does Nordstrom still carry her products?

@trisha333  Just because a company files for "bankruptcy" doesn't mean it's going out of business. There are different levels of bankruptcy...at least one gives a company a chance to restructure, reorganize, whatever it takes to get themselves back together. In the meantime, the business can continue selling, manufacturing, etc.

On a recent visit to ULTA, a rep there told me that LG was going to be a QVC exclusive line going forward.

Re: Laura Geller filing bankruptcy?

Many people who have started their own business, like Laura, sell to big corporations. Laura Geller cosmetics is no longer Laura Geller's. I am sure she got a good price for her company and is doing well, however, many of these cosmetic corporations buy up these independently owned companies just to run them out of business. The successful smaller businesses are competition to the big corporations that already have an established corporate product and they don't like that competition. These corporations work by the bottom line. They do not give the loving attention to a company that the founder would. If the brand goes under they can just write it off. They hire spokespersons and other representatives but those people do not really care about the business. Those people are hired hands, owned by the corporate heads who will send them someplace else when this job ends. They know when they take on the job if that brand is intended to make it or not. Either way Laura is doing fine.

The last time I saw Laura on QVC she spoke about the store that she "used to have." I didn't think too much of it at the time but I guess she would have had to sell her store there in NYC when she sold the company. She probably had to sign all kinds of documents stating that she would not start another company for a specific amount of time. At her age I kind of doubt that she would do it again. She was a hard worker. She put in a lot of hours for a lot of years. She got her big break when QVC took her on to sell her Balance n Bronze. It was the first thing I bought from her and I still use it today. The best easy to blend bronzer out there. I use the fair. It is sad that the corporate world (among other aspects) has done so much damage to small business in this country. I know Laura must love having the time to spend raising her son and having time to herself but it leaves the consumer with one less vendor to depend upon for good products.

So are we still going to be able to buy her products?  I love her balance and brighten and have been using it since it came out. I would be devasted if I could not get that product anymore.  I also like her stylelash mascara.

Re: Laura Geller filing bankruptcy?

It says on her own website that they are moving to a new warehouse so I think that's an indicator the line is not being shut down.  Otherwise why bother moving.  I will literally collapse in a pile and sob myself to death if I can't get her baked foundation.
