The Beautypedia reviews point out harmful ingredients. While some people may like products she rates low, alcohol is bad for everyone's skin. There are plenty of good foundations out there that do not contain alcohol.

OP - if you only need light coverage, I recommend trying the BareMinerals complexion rescue.

@Dorothy11..Thanks for the recommendation...I will check it out...I do prefer a liquid to powder-type foundation...The Lancome gave me lovely light coverage and finish.

Re: Lancome Nude Miracle Liquid To Powder Foundation

try L'Oreal Magic Nude .  liquid to powder in dozens of shades.   there is no dropper with this one.     Paula gave it 1 star but the community reviewers gave it 5 stars.   i love it!  it is light, the color match is perfect!  have a back-up bottle in case it gets the axe!

If the ingredient list of this liquid foundation with sunscreen looks familiar to you, it's because it's very similar to the Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup SPF 15, which isn't all that surprising given that L'Oreal owns Giorgio Armani. Oddly enough, the L'Oreal version lacks some of the irritating ingredients that are present in the Armani version, such as fragrance and bitter orange flower oil, but that still doesn't save it from being just an ordinary foundation

Goldengate8361 I feel the EXACT same way! I would "trust" her more if she didn't sell her "own better" skincare products. She can't be unbiased because she is selling her own products and it hurts her bottom line.

But the question here was whether it's a good idea to use a product on the face that has alcohol. Paula Begoun did not make up the concerns about that ingredient. And as for added fragrance, there is also reason for concern regarding irritation.  Paula Begoun usually cites actual data, but you can find information on your own as well.
