@Pink123

Did you watch the video on Ellacor dot com? That shows what it does to the skin plus they have some info to read on that site also.

No I did not @SilleeMee  thanks and I will tonight.

What do you think about it?

I like to give things a year or two to witness reviews before I enter into them.

@Pink123

The principal behind it seems plausible. Skin is removed in small amounts so it's like having a micro-facelift w/o cutting. Makes sense to me but it I suspect the downtime is long.

Thanks @SilleeMee  I agree with you 100 percent.  But what's a little downtime?  Just relax, read, watch some favorite tv shows.

Better than those scar's with the cutting into the hairline and around the ears.

Yes, they do fade with time but this is just my opinion, a facelift or upper necklift will pull you up and leave you quite gaunt.

There is no volume to the face and so on top of the hefty price tag, you have to fill in the hollow after they pull you tight constantly.

Anyway, I will follow this new Ellaco (by the way they do it for the neck too) over the next year or two god willing.

I haven't read this entire thread of comments, but haven't seen the discussion of safety.

There is some info out there that there can be damage to eyes, retinas, even with eye proteciton.

I recently bought a mask on Amazon, $100, that got great reviews as a dupe for the $300+ Omnilux. Then happened to see some articles about these masks' possiblility of eye damage. Was going to my eye doc the next day and he advised against it, unless done by a certified doc in an office with FDA approved equipmen. He said he has heard where retinas can be damaged. It may be rare, but still made me press pause on it.

I did another post somewhere last week on this. But I was just doing a search here now to see if it's safety's ever been discussed.

I'm going to return mine for now, as I'm just skittish to use it. But so many women do use them. Of course the influencers getting paid by Omnilux rave about results. "Real people", like here, seems to be mixed.

I have a few influencers I follow and like, but it kind of turns me off to the whole influencer thing...when I brought up safety of course my comment was taken down...they're getting paid, they can't have you say negative things I guess. But that's a lesson learned that that info they give is skewed due to them getting paid. A no brainer, but often they do seem sincere. I guess it's like anything else people are selling...a degree of truth...but definitely slanted, when you're being paid to endorse.

I take all the "influencer" stuff out there with a grain of salt and am not easily swayed, watch usually for entertainment, do my own research etc...but I'd been wanting to try one of those LED lights for a while, that's why I went for it. Until...the doc appt.

@amyb I have worried about eye damage from using the Omnilux mask.  I purchased one about six months before my DD's wedding  two years ago (and stuck to my diet!....I was on a roll) and used it daily.

However the light is so bright I stopped using it at one point with the intention to do more research on it but never did.

Yes, I just feel for now, I can't keep this. Even if it's rare, who wants to take the chance! I guess I'm still curious, that's why I've still been Googling articles etc...not a ton of bad info about the eye damage, or at least I just haven't read a lot yet, compared to all the people hyping these masks, and reviewing them as users.

But...I'm just not that gal who's ever not taken one tiny bit of a "scare" and run with it. Lol. Not worth it. I mean, I get it...my doctor is NEVER going to tell me "it's ok" when he's heard any, no matter how rare, any issue with it. Didn't expect he would. But also, him recommending in office "FDA approved" treatments over this, and I get that ...still, these days can't even always trust the FDA. So, all to say....I'll stick to the best skincare I can do for now. I'm not risking my eyes!! Too bad though...I was thinking I was about to try a game changer. Oh well.

Btw @haddon9 you didn't say...did you see results in the time you used it??

@amyb  Did I see results?  Not really but I also use my share of serums, creams & lotions.

I just didn't want to do any damage to my eyes.  That's a scary thought but I could be wrong about it.  Didn't want to take any more chances.

The FDA has cleared specific wavelengths of red light used in LED devices. RLT masks are safe to use around the eyes but the devices have to be 'FDA approved'.

Not all RLT face masks are FDA approved.

@monicakm  Oh, Monicakm! I'm so sorry that you fell off your bike Smiley Surprised. I fell off my bike when I was 10 and have a scar on my knee from it. Make sure to keep your cuts and scrapes clean.  Wow, that must've really hurt- feel free to rest up and take it easy this weekend.
