It just bugs me that she is all set to apply the product (whichever), brush in hand, and I'm thinking, this is it! I finally am going to find out how it is applied and what it can do for me. No such luck. She stands and talks till the clock runs out. I can't stand her.

I was thinking that last night during her presentation. I think that ideally she would work with plastic surgeons AND dermatologists -- both bring something to the table.

They work VERY closely with burn victims and design makeup to cover their scars and other type of scars! As for a make over for Jamie, maybe she is happy with the way she looks?? I think she's a beautiful lady just the way she is and I think she is probably just as beautiful on the inside!!!! I don't know why people have to be so judgmental!!!!!
Amen to what racerrn said.

I think Jamie might purposely try to downplay herself so the focus is all on her products. And all that matters, imo, is her comfort level when she is on air. Jamie is really focused on making the best cosmetics she can to problem solve and I have no doubt she works with Plastic Surgeons. They have been recognized for years as creating products that help their patients disguise imperfections and other issues and it makes perfect sense that Jamie would want their input.
I believe most of her products are also dermatologist tested, aren't they? I was under the impression that the majority of cosmetics released today are~ I seem to read that on just about everything I buy anyway~

Well lets see, dirt from the Amazon, clay from Japan, multiple medical degrees, a miracle discovered by monks, a miracle discovered doing alga research, found on a 70 year old French woman, the angels are singing, and originally from a derm office are all taken. What is left for a marketing ploy?
Big breath, rant over. Time for coffee and a walk

I'm the same way; set in my 'style' of dressing. Clearly she's comfortable in what she chooses to wear and to her it flatters her assets. I'd like to see her try a v-neck just once but then I'm sure my friends and co-workers would like to see me out of my 'uniform'!

Plastic surgeons specialize in surgery while dermatologists and aestheticians specialize in skin care and cosmetic chemists create products. I just can't see any plastic surgeon devoting 5 years of research to help launch an eye brow pencil.
My guess on this is that Jamie somehow possibly knew some PS's, either personally or professionally, when she first decided to create a cosmetic line or she was somehow connected to one or some through other contacts. Initially, that is, imo~
Now do I think they have been intrinsically involved in each and every product - absolutely not. Maybe in her initial stages she got some good general information from one or two and maybe even along the way, if she knew some PS's well enough, she got them to allow some patient testing. Hey, if my PS requested I try some cosmetics for free and permit some observations, I'd be more than a willing candidate.
I don't think, with the bulk of products she has created, that PS's probably were involved but I do think she had some connection with one or two (or possibly more) to establish some truth to her claims and has kept it as her "spiel" so to speak, ever since.
Just my thoughts/assumptions/guesses on it anyway and we all know another way to interpret "assume"
