The first product that I used was perlier honey bath and body products. This product definitely contains honey, as their entire line is made from natural products.

Absolutely LOVE the Perlier line, especially the honey shower gel. Got hooked on that when they were on qvc. Was sorry to see them go to the other channel.

I suspect the honey is a key to the shine and maybe even helps seal in some moisture? Whatever it does , I am loving it !! I think it was said maybe maple was the shine magic in FAS which I loved too. I didn't get the shine as much in the WCM or SOB.

Yeah, I've read that molasses is good for moisture too.

Honey is unique in so many ways, it is antibacterial for one. I have never tried it on my hair, but I heard that it will lighten hair. So I wouldn't try it on colored hair or maybe not hair you didn't want lighter. I will try it tomorrow because I actually want my hair a little lighter and have lots of natural honey. I know I the hive it came from quite well (I am the beekeeper) and know for a fact that no chemicals, hormones or antibiotics went into that hive. I'll totally saturate my hair in honey, leave it in for an hour and then cleanse as usual and let you know what happens.

SHP is the first Wen formula that I have tried. It was amazing for my hair and I am sure it is the honey and the tea blend. Before using Wen I did honey masks and tea rinses. When I did the honey mask, my hair, which tends to be dry, maintained moisture. The tea rinses eliminated breakage. The honey wasn't sticky if I applied it to wet hair and it rinsed out easily. I am going to use the SHP that I currently have, but the scent is too much for me, so I won't repurchase. I am interested to know if others have added honey to other formulas. I'm not really sure what to do when I finish with the SHP.

After reading all of the comments, I have so much to say about this. I have also tried molasses. It gave me the same result as the honey, but was slightly stickier (hair needed to be soaking wet when applied). Also, the molasses did not lighten my hair. The honey did lift the color of my hair. My hair appeared brighter as if I had it highlighted. I liked the effect, but if you color your hair, I can see where that would be a problem. Ok. I will shut up now.
