What does? I need a good shampoo that won't fade color. Any suggestions?

I don't know if you mean that WEN faded your color, or it didn't work for you otherwise.

In any event, I don't mind low sulfates. I never get color fade. Some Ss & Cs that work well for me is Suave (w/ either the macadamia nut oil or argan, but none of the other Suaves I've ever tried) and I really do like Carol's Daughter Monoi, though I can see that may not be for everyone.

What is going to happen is new growth, and it is hard to prevent that!

I would just curtail using hot water/too warm on my hair, and use some kind of heat protection in blow drying. Heat protection =again, my hair seems to love macadamia nut oil. Also sesame....any of the oils.

I just have normal hair! No scalp or other problems, save for new growth that comes in gray.

Have you tried more than one WEN formula? There are quite a few different formulations for different hair types. I was using Lavender a few years ago before I realized that it wasn't right for my dry hair, so I stopped using it because it didn't really work for me. I'm about to try WEN again but Fig this time for my dry frizzy hair. I'm hoping it'll work.

Just sayin' if you're basing your opinion on one formula, you may just need a different one.

No, I've tried several Wen formulas. They didn't fade my color. It did seem to take longer in the shower and use more water, but maybe I'm wrong on that.

I understand, it is much more time consuming. At this point it'll be worth it if it helps my hair.

Carol's Daughter makes some really nice products, but they are pretty expensive. HSN has good deals though if you're interested.

I like Paul Mitchell Color Protect shampoo, but I don't like the conditioner.

Are you wanting a drug store brand or from the beauty shop? Price?

You might want to look into JASON products. Lots of natural ingredients. I used the hemp shampoo before WEN but they have numerous formulations to target your needs.

Alba Botanica is another ""natural based"" brand I have used back in the day.
