Re: IT TSV Cc cream shade selection

Thanks so much. I am in the fair category but I could be light. I cannot wear golden shades. Decisions, decisions. Anyone with a suggestion and is this product good stuff. Funny it is advertised as under $60 dollars.... {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} The price is barely under 60 but with the shipping and tax... it is mostly over the 60 point. Love the way they advertise. Guess they think we are really stupid.

Re: IT TSV Cc cream shade selection

I agree about the swatches. We shouldn't have to search for them. That is just odd. But, I had ordered the med and now seeing the colors, wished I ordered the light even though they look close. The med looks a bit more yellow and light a bit more neutral. But, it has shipped so hoping for the best.

They have plenty of time to show them. I really don't want to drive to Ulta to compare colors of their original CC. Come on Jamie!

Swatches are almost as hard to judge as the color boxes they show. Swatches can look different on different skintones and in different lighting. What looks super fair on a medium person looks light on a very fair person. A yellow-based foundation looks normal on a person with yellow tones and yellow on a pink toned person. Their accuracy also changes based on lighting and TV screens. I've been burned by swatches on skin the same way I've been burned by the boxes and photos.

What works best for me is to find a blogger who wears the same foundation shade that I do or is very close to mine. I match the same shade selection is Phyrra and am a little lighter than both Vanity Rouge and Vampy Varnish, so I base many of my selections on what works for them. What's too dark for them won't work for me and what's just right for them may work on me, especially if it's a match for Phyrra.

If you have an Ulta near you, check them out for the regular CC cream to see which might be closest.

If you're fair, you might want to check this out and see if you match any of Phrrra's other foundation matches. I know that several of my foundation shades are a match to her, so I know that if something works for her, it will work for me. http://phyrra.net/2013/08/it-cosmetics-anti-aging-full-coverage-physical-spf50-cc-cream-review.html

If you think you might match Light, check out other shades that match to Vanity Rouge, who wears IT CC Cream in Light: http://vanityrouge.com/it-cosmetics-cc-your-way-to-beautiful-skin-collection-review-photos-swatches/...

Re: IT TSV Cc cream shade selection

I agree with you 100%!! It is so frustrating that they continue to do this even though we have been complaining for so long. At least if they would show the actual tubes in the individual colors that would help. Looking at a small picture of a model's face on my TV screen is useless to me. I usually don't buy foundation from QVC because of this, but I am interested in the new CC cream, so I purchased the TSV in Medium. Now after seeing the swatches posted above maybe I should have ordered the Light.

This is a problem every single time that Jamie is on. Thanks to the poster who provided the color swatches! I agree the Light and Medium shades look very similar.

I am disappointed that Jamie does not demonstrate the colors. There has to be a marketing/sales reason why she doesn't give us a good look at the shades.{#emotions_dlg.confused1} For this reason, I will not be ordering.

Jamie has many happy customers and she is doing a disservice to everyone.

Well obviously if they do read the boards, then they know we want to see swatches. So there has to be a reason why they don't do it.

And the thing is, they USED to do it. They used to not only provide swatch colors on the arm or hand of the vendor/models etc., but they also sometimes would swatch them on a piece of white paper so you could see the color AND they would show each individual shade in the tube/bottle.

So it is disappointing that they stopped doing that, I don't understand why but this is a big reason, why I don't buy foundations and color products for the face from QVC. Ok that and the shipping. This TSV CC cream isn't of interest to me but I know that some ladies are confused about color-- there are many threads about color selection.

It is annoying that we have to go online and to You Tube searching for color information. Viewers should not have to do that, just to decide on a color.

Especially now that the return policy has changed. A lot of companies like Bobbi Brown, offer free shipping and free returns on foundations.

Estee Lauder and LancĂ´me both offer free returns on foundations. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

{#emotions_dlg.mellow}{#emotions_dlg.huh}{#emotions_dlg.confused1} I will never understand why shade selection is NOT a priority when presenting a TSV like this where ladies have to make a choice with color for the CC cream.

Why don't they show swatches? They don't even show the different shades in the TUBE. Why? I only have to guess that Jamie isn't concerned with helping ladies get the right shade.

I am buying the TSV however I am giving the CC cream to my DD so it doesn't matter to me what color mine is. I ordered the Fair shade because my DD is fair but it would have been so nice to SEE THE COLORS swatched or at least see the tubes of each shade!

Is there some reason that I'm missing that they don't do this? It isn't just the IT foundations it is every brand with a foundation color that airs on the channel. Why don't they provide better choice selection?

I don't understand this at all. For someone that really wants the CC cream and is having difficulty deciding on a color selection, I would think it would be VERY frustrating.

I am not ordering the TSV for the CC cream so I don't care but I know some ladies really want it and do plan to use it. I am sure it's frustrating, especially if you order the wrong color!

--imaclotheshog, it's the money honey!! It has to be. I have posted this before: TV Beauty vendors won't/don't do it because they know they have a low color selection or their shades lean one direction or the other, thus will deter sales from those that will just go ahead and try a shade and not return even if not a good match...$$$. Bloggers/youtubers (most) acutually care and want to help viewers so they swatch and give descriptions and opinions in order to give you as much info. as possible to spend your money wisely and select good products for yourself. Some of them are motivated by obtaining and retaining viewers and money, but it is pretty easy to find the genuine ones-IMO. ~smiles, SnowKita

Yes, what I don't understand - do Jamie and QVC really want kits sent back to them in numbers? Because of wrong color choice? Well, shipping costs are now being deducted from the amount of a return, but what about all these opened and useless makeup items they'll receive back? Does it not cost money to produce?

They also not explaining what each shade's base color is. To me, the correct base color is even more important than intensity of a shade.

I was purchasing IT Celebration foundation from IT site, and of course got a headache deciding between fair and light. The shade's base color info simply is not available, even on IT site I had to chat with Rep about this, and ask. The answer was that fair and light have pink base, and medium and darker - yellow base. Where is neutral? I am both, I have pink and yellow undertones in my skin.

I really love IT make up (and brushes) and have quite a few items already, but this Foundation Shade Guessing Game is really getting to me.

Already pre-ordered this TSV in "light", but now looking at swatches, I see light being so dark, I really don't know what to do. I am definately not "Fair" - I am Light, and don't want to buy another set in Fair to mix two, having quite a few foundations as is. Do not want send the entire Kit back, if the foundation color is wrong.

Dear Jamie)))))) Help! We so love your line! But,

Please provide us with foundation base color info. Please create Neutral shade with both pink and yellow undertones!

Please give us some more shade choices - Fair, Fair/Light, Light, Light/Medium, Medium and so on. Especially this is important for lighter shades, as wrong color choice on lighter skin is unforgiving.

Here is another request - Please do consider this Option for us - within makeup kits offered on QVS, for some additional $$, purchase an additional foundation item, in different shade, for those of us, who need to mix two foundations in order to achieve correct color result for their skin tone.

I am also disappointed that there have been no models demonstrating ""Fair"" for the presentations I have watched.
