IT Cosmetics CC cream balling up?

I've been using this for about a month and absolutely love it. This morning I put it on with no problems until I got to the left side of my face, and it suddendly balled up, lying in large crumbles on my face. Not happy! I had to brush them off, which wasn't easy, and try to reapply. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm thinking maybe I didn't get enough moisturizer on underneath.
