Sorry kcladyz - I know you like being redundant but the word 'flavor' has several meanings - not everything relating to flavor is about food.

Well, if we're going to get all officious about it, it is a formula, not a scent. Please be correct when correcting others.

I don't care what you call it; FAS is my favorite. The scent is warm and delicious to me, and the formula works the best for my hair type. I use Fresh Cream products from Philosophy, and I find the FAS blends nicely with this scent. I am not a fan of citrus; it reads bitter to my nose, mint makes my eyes water, pumpkin scents end up as "pumpkin gone bad" on me, and I just don't like the scent of pears in any type of "fragrance." I am happy that we all get to choose our favorite "flavor/scent/formula." I cannot understand when people bash a particular product just because they don't like it. I hope Chaz keeps making all the scents so that we can all enjoy our favorites.

Not on this thread. I have read several other threads and many of the reviews for the various Wen formulas. There always seems to be a few people who take it personally that Chaz continues to make a formula that they do not like. I just think that is odd.

You're right! Not on this thread, but others. It's even in some of the reviews "Chaz, I hate this formula, quit making it and bring back (fill in the blank)". What about those who do like it? Too many people think the world revolves around them!

I don't like FAS, but hey, that just means more for those who DO like it. Smile

Re: I wonder why Chaz did name FAS Fall MAPLE spice?

FAS is my HG of the WEN products both for scent and performance. I do get an apple scent once it blooms in the shower. I will agree there is a lot of maple too. That's OK with me because I love maple scent. I also like that it lingers, but that's because I like the scent. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

It's understandable why there is such a mix of opinion on this scent.

No, I don't think it would have been more popular if the name had been different. I still would have ordered it and still would have hated it. Not a big deal - you can't please everyone all of the time and I know I take a risk whenever I order a seasonal because scent is so personal. So far there have been more winners that losers, but that was definitely the worst one for me.

Uh...okay. Did I offend you or something? Sorry?

Anyway, as the day wore on I did notice the scent lingering longer than I might have liked. I enjoyed it at first but then by the end of the day it seemed a little cloying. I found a way to counteract it though. I sprayed a little RTM (SHP flavor...er scent Wink). It counteracted the FAS scent nicely. Now today being my non-wash day I spritzed a little more RTM in my hair this morning to refresh my hair and all is good. Just a tip for those that like the performance of FAS but maybe less so on the scent.

I'm also thinking of using it as a first cleanse and then something else for the second cleanse.
