And, I was surprised at some of the pricing.  I saw two products that I might give a try, except for the fact that the sale prices came to almost $500.  I must really be out of touch for a serum and moisturizer to cost that much.  I have never worried about cost for face care and I get many compliments on my skin, but I don't remember paying that much for two products.  I guess that I have misjudged Avon.

I received some Avon for Christmas and I did keep the hand cream which was very nice and gave the rest away because I use other products of my own.  However, several weeks ago I starting using a skincare line that is reasonably priced and I absolutely love (Mario Badescu).  I also love that he colors some of his products.  I love to cleanse my face with aqua creme.

Its been years since I have seen an Avon catalogue. 

But, a few weeks ago, my dh and I went on a hike in the mountains. We have some skin so soft that I got got a few years ago, I'd ordered it from a lady we know who sells Avon.

We the skin so soft on and didn't get a tick or chigger.

@Katcat1 @happycat   I have used Mario Badescu, along with everything else and I liked his products.  I have such a short attention span that I always want to try something new.  I just have never spent that much for two products, especially one sale.

Glad to hear that no bites while hiking.  I might need some when I feed those at the cat colony.  I am fighting all kinds of bushes and ducking under vines to feed them.

@SXMGirl  Is it the Mission Luxereve stuff you were looking at? I haven't looked at Avon for a long time, but was surprised to see the expensive serum and cream. They still have their reasonably priced items, but yes, this was surprising. I would love to know if anyone here has tried it. I don't really trust reviews on the site.

I miss looking through the Avon catalogs. I haven't seen one in years.

@daisyk  Yes, those are the products that I saw and was so surprised at the price.  I would love to try them, but a little pricey for me.  I saw excellent reviews, but there were not many to see.  Unfortunately, the lower prices are only if ordered through a rep, which I probably prefer, but I also like to use ebates and that would be through the site.

Sigh. Talk about a trip down memory lane. For years and as long as it was made I only wore Cotillion fragrance. I adored it and really sad when it was discontinued.

And my favorite blush of all time, and I'm 72, was a stick blush and the color was Roses, Roses. It was perfect on me and I still miss it, silly I know.
