I can see why you're so pleased. What a difference! Did the inj

Injector say if there could be any side effects?

@LuvSoCal

Thank you! I am pleased. And like @Pink123 mentioned, there are no side effects. Some people may bruise or swell differently than others but that's not an actual side effect. Google RHA, pretty interesting plus vids on utube.

You do look really great. The doctor stuck to her word about keeping your lips natural--truly the oft-heard --"your lips but better!

Enjoy them!

Oh you are so right saying "your lips but better." Definitely nailed it with that.(And now I can't disengage the bold font. My phone has been so wonky. 🤨)

I love my Aesthetician's point of view in only providing a natural result for her clients in her practice. She said she refuses to do procedures for those wanting over the top exaggerated results.  Kudos to her! Integrity is appreciated. 👏👍👌

Thank you for the compliment too.😊

@rochelleS - I'm just now seeing this and reading all of the comments.

You look fantastic! Not only do your lips look great, but your whole expression looks brighter and happier. How great you found an esthetician that you like and trust!  Smiley Happy

You look really great @rochelleS!  Congratulations!

I think even your chin and neck look a little more picked up.  I noticed because that is an area of concern to me.

Hope you don't mind my asking, do you think that was the result of the Botox injected in the cheek muscle to lift the corners of your mouth, or was it something else?  Maybe just your smile?  Your eyes give away your smile!

BTW, I don't think you look angry in the before, you look good there too, but I do think I need to do something to pick up my cheeks and neck, so interested in ideas.

TIA, and congratulations again!

@NYCLatinaMe

Thank you so much for your kind words. Much appreciated!

No worries, feel free, you can ask me anything.

There was no change on my chin and neck from my lip injections. I believe it was just how I was holding my head and the way the photo was taken. Just a good and lucky shot. Most of my selfies look like I have a walrus neck, lol.

The botox injection will help to relax the downward turn of the corners of the mouth. Another facial change that occurs for most as we age.

Take a look at Kybella for the neck  (Google, utube etc) My sister had this done and her double plus+++ chin and excess neck fat is gone. And she has struggled with weight for years

 It does take awhile for the total effect/results to kick in but it works and her neck area looks fabulous. Truly!

Low thyroid has added extra lbs so I won't explore this or any other non surgical modality until my body gets regulated. Hopefully when my metabolism restarts and this weight comes down my nasal labial and marionette lines will soften too. We shall see. There's always a plan B.

Any more questions? Feel free. I'll answer whatever I can.

@rochelleS   You look great in both pics, but those lips are a real WOW and I'm glad you love them.  (I wouild too!).

I wasn't blessed with big lips and, as I age, I see them dwindling away.  My daughter has huge, plump lips and I have no idea where she got them from.  I'm so jealouos!!

Anyway, back to you .... congratulations on having the nerve to do something you wanted and congratulations on finding someone who did such a great job.  You really look fantastic; love those lips!!

@Citrine1

Thanks so very much for your very kind and special words. Truly appreciated.

I hated seeing my lips changing, especially the disappearance of the outer portion of my lower lip. I was drastically losing symmetry and balance and it frankly looked so odd. If my lip has lost its shape and volume evenly I most likely wouldn't have been so unhappy with the change. Fortunately this wonderful experience has been able to change that! Viva Lips! 💋💋💋

Thank you!

There is some discomfort but for me well worth having this done. Fortunately, it was short lived as the RHA was injected and absolutely no discomfort once the procedure was finished.

I would like to have something like that done, but afraid of the pain involved.

Re: I Had RHA Lip Injections Today 💋

Hey @rochelleS  guess what?  I don't even use numbing cream.

I don't feel it's necessary as  it really does not hurt that much plus it goes so fast.

With that gooey numbing cream even though they wipe most of it out I feel the needle can slide around causing more puncture's by the aesthetitician to get it right.  We want the least.

BTW, the aestheticians who put too many needle punctures in are called "prickers".Woman LOL.  Seriously, some just keep pricking the lips causing more chance for extensive bruising.  But the lips are so veinous it's hard to avoid hitting them.

But that's me, lol.

Again, you look great.  What a little change can do for one's self esteem,  right?  Cheers!

@Pink123

Thank you for your pngoing comments. I truly appreciate your input and personal experience with RHA.

Interesting about the numbing cream/potential slip that may occur. I recall the cream being wiped off and rubbing alcohol being used, if not totally to wipe the cream off, definitely with the final wipes prior to starting the injection procedure. I will certainly address this with my Aesthetician on Tuesday. I could likely go without the numbing cream. The process is so short and once injected, there was no residual discomfort, yet I was numb. So I'll evaluate a decision after we speak. Plus I'm not fond of the feeling as that cream wears off at all. Stay tuned!

@NYCLatinaMe

Hi! I know everyone's busy with Thanksgiving prep etc. I'm taking a short break from the kitchen myself but wanted to tell you to check out PLO, a treatment that can be used for the chin and neck (and more) which you'd mentioned as an area of contention.  My Sister had this procedure done yesterday at our appt with the Aesthetician. Her marionette lines were treated. I have lots to tell and will be back to share when I have more time. This was so cool and interesting that I just had to mention it .

Hope you and yours have a fabulous Thanksgiving!

Back to the kitchen for me and Sis. Up to our eyeballs making delicious sides to take to her son's house tomorrow. GobbleGobbleGobble 🦃🥧🥗🍛😋🍲🦃💖
