I don't line underneath my lashes.  I only line my lower lashes right against the lashes from above along the waterline (in other words inside the lash line, not below).  I still can have a problem with navy.  For some reason that color seems to spread more than other colors.

@rockygems123 @Thank you for recommending the Maybelline Unstoppables eyeliner in Espresso. I bought it & am loving it!
