How much do you tip the shampoo girl?

My cut is $45, I tip the stylist $10, how much for the shampoo girl?

IMO, you shouldn’t have to tip the shampoo girl separately.  20% is the tip on your entire service (consultation, shampoo, cut, blow dry, style) and the stylist should be giving the shampoo girl a portion of that 20%.

I tip the shampoo person about $3.

My shampoo girl is my hair stylist.  LOL

If there is a shampoo girl, they are normally tipped a couple of bucks.  I would probably do $2.00-$3.00 as well.

My gal does everthing, she's a one-man show. She's the owner, stylist, shampooer, I tip her 20% or more.

I tip my hairdresser 20%.   She  gives her shampoo girl cash at the end of her shift. I've seen her do it.

I've never had a separate shampoo girl. My hairdresser does it all: cut, style and shampoo. I tip 20% of the cost.

I've never tipped the shampoo girl.  My cut is $35 and I give a $10 tip to my stylist.  I have no idea whether she gives any portion to the shampoo girl.  The prior shampoo girl had a jar on the counter behind her by the sink, the current girl does not have the tip jar.  Gosh, I don't know - I think it takes her about 1-2 minutes to wash my hair and she then sends me off to the stylist.  I've never thought of giving a tip, but I'll keep reading this thread and see if maybe I'm wrong?  If so, I guess I'll leave $2.
