Re: How is it possible to buy Laura Geller baked when every compact is different?

And btw I'm really curious about the Baked Elements foundation, but I'm not sure what shade I would need, and am afraid it would be too yellow also. I wear Fairly Medium in BE Original, and that one Fair BnB worked for me, and I wonder if Light in Baked Elements.

Hi ginabfly ~ I have looked at the Baked Elements kit several times. I am concerned about it looking yellow too. I do better with the B-n-B in fair with the multi shades all mixed up. I have a really hard time getting a good match with just one shade.

Love her B &B and her bronze and powder blush, other products not so much.

It doesn't always turn out to be color equalizing. Many of us have had the problem of a compact having too much of one tint, like too much yellow for my pink undertones. I had one Fair BnB that I loved, then I had one that had way too much yellow in it and it made me look yellow so I couldn't use it. They aren't all the same and don't work for all of us all of the time Smiley Sad((((

Re: How is it possible to buy Laura Geller baked when every compact is different?

I love LG products mainly because I can't wear shades of brown (I look like I've been dragged through the garden).... and her "light" has been consistent for me throughout the years with more pink than browns. One of the only brands that suit me. I've never had a mixture that I couldn't wear, they seemed consistent to me and why I always come back but I'm ultra careful about buying her items, to make sure they are "light" and no other, also I've only purchased her products off QVC.

Hard to resist her TSV.... really hard... {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I loved the first compact of this bronzer long ago, so natural looking, but after that no luck. Haven't purchased since, too inconsistent.

Re: How is it possible to buy Laura Geller baked when every compact is different?

I went to Ulta yesterday to look at the Balance and brighten since I finally found a Bronze and brighten I like. I opened every medium they had and lined them up and the difference was unbelievable. One was darker with a lot of dark swirls and one had more pink than anything and one had almost no swirls of anything. I cannot believe that you can swirl each compact and come out with the same color. I picked one that had some brown and no pink so I will see if it looks muddy. I want to love Laura Gellar's products since she is so likeable and I do love the Bronzer but probably would never find another one like this one.

This post is Exhibit A of why vendors as well as QVC employees should not be allowed to participate in these fora.

That's exactly why I stopped using Balance & Brighten. Every time I got a new one it was different. Some have much more brown than others, some have more pink. And although they blend, they definitely look different on the skin. I tried going from Medium to Light, but the same was true. One worked perfectly, the next order was too dark.

Re: How is it possible to buy Laura Geller baked when every compact is different?

They aren't supposed to look exactly alike in containers, but don't worry. They are blended and go on just as beautiful. They are all made in one big vat, the poured into flat clay baking pans and put into kilns. When done, they are poured into the individual pots. They will have a swirl pattern look to them but they are supposed to. But don't let the varied mild color differences fool you. When applied, they blend beautifully. Just swirl your brush in a circle over the top, blow off the extra, and swirl in a circle around your face. I've used it since she first brought it to QVC, can't imagine the number of pots I've gone through/ Every one has been pure satisfaction, and I have the fairest of fair skin. Never had any problem, no matter what the compact looked like in color. Blends beautifully !!
