Re: Highlighters or blush as eyeshadow

I wear highlighter under the brow but that's it.  I can't imagine wearing blush as eyeshadow.  I'd be afraid it would look like I had been crying or something.  I have plenty of brown shades of eyeshadow that I would have no need to use my bronzer there.

Re: Highlighters or blush as eyeshadow

I only wear blush as eye shadow because I dislike colors as shadow. I just go for a little deeper than natural skin tone, and only use shadow above the crease.

Re: Highlighters or blush as eyeshadow

Great idea. Lots of my makeup items do double duty. I've used lipstick as a blush for 50 years. I have a blonde eyebrow pencil that is the perfect color and texture that I use as eyeliner/shadow.

And, don't laugh... I've used blue, pink, and green powder eye shadows to put small colorful streaks in my silver hair (saw it in a magazine, it works!)

Go for it!

@teganslaw

I know you're inquiring about using highlighter or blush as an eyeshadow...which I have. Specifically the more skin toned+++ or darker blush shades at times. Nothing too bright or colorful though.

But, I have and still use blush, highlighter and eyeshadow for a pop of brightness in the center of my lower lip. Silver, gold, rose gold or light bronze tones can add a nice pop of color, soften a little too dark color and add to the longevity of the lipstick as well.
