Oh girl, I remember those rollers.  I wonder if they still sell them?  I remember sleeping on regular rollers when I was in grammar school and H.S. and in H.S. I changed my hair style so I would not need rollers.  They were painful to sleep on.

@Katcat1

Yes, they are still made.

When I was a little girl, my mama rolled my hair every single night of my life. About the 3rd grade I decided I wanted a short shag, so she took me to the beauty shop with her (as she did every Saturday) and got my hair cut.  My big brothers were so p i s s e d off when we got home!

Yes, "memory lane". Just saw these rollers at Target the other day. I have a bag of them....much easier on your hair than Velcro ones if you need a little volume on top. I have really big ones.

I remember using the HUGE rollers in my hair, which was long and poker straight...and they did hurt to sleep on.

@Mom2Dogs   In high school and college, this curly haired girl, slept on beer cans (both ends cut out so the long duckbill clips held them in). I "slept" w/ a rolled pillow under my neck...a chiropractor's dream! My hair was almost shoulder length and everyone but me had straight hair! 😢

Kudos to Vidal Sasson (sp?) and the price becoming affordable to all for blow dryers!

Yes I slept on those giant rollers too!  Still have mine.  My hair was past my waist so I also slept with a bonnet style hair dryer on my head too.  I have very curly hair and STRAIGHT was in.
