I guess it all depends on who's doing the smelling. The other day I had just applied my pure grace after showering when shortly afterward my husband walked into the bedroom and asked me what that horrible smell was. {#emotions_dlg.glare}

My husband said the same thing - LOL! I switched to Falling in Love and he hasn't complained yet.

I've been using up what products I have from this brand and not buying more. Not just because, IMO, the scents aren't what they used to be but because I don't think the products feel or work the same. I had always used AG body lotion and loved it but the last container I got didn't moisturize my skin at all. I switched to a brand I can buy locally and that worked great all winter so I'm going to stick with it instead.

It's a shame, I've always enjoyed the various lotions and things but for me, they no longer have the same value.

AGREED!! they took an ICON of a product and destoryed its authenticity. my last purchase was before Christmas. there are other classic fragrances out there that are just as good if not better..... so sad.

I thought I might also be done with Purity and MDW, but I've been using drugstore alternatives for a few months now, and at this time, I'm thinking I may go back to them. Nothing I've tried works anywhere near as well for me.

Philosophy definitely won't miss the money I spend on scents - I use almost none as more and more places in my life there are those requesting no perfumes. I gave up all scents when I was in the classroom once more and more kids became irritated by them, and now I'm finding in my personal life that I go too many places where perfumes are not welcome.

I've never been happier with the Philosophy fragrances! {#emotions_dlg.wub} I regularly receive compliments (bank, stores, work, home, etc.) whenever I wear my fragrances. I wear Amazing Grace, Living Grace, Summer Grace or Falling in Love.

I've even received compliments on Living Grace up to 10hrs later. I can definitely still smell it on my skin throughout the day ... it lasts the longest when I layer it - olive oil scrub, satin oil body spray, whipped body creme and EDP fragrance. When I pick up my cardigan the next day, I can still smell it, and my clothes in the laundry pile smell so nice, just like whatever fragrance I was wearing the last time I wore the clothes! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

What's really neat is that since they've introduced these newer versions in the fragrances (the olive oil scrub, oil body spray and body creme), I've actually received more compliments than I did in the past.

I get the most compliments from my husband when I wear Falling in Love {#emotions_dlg.wub}

My only complaint is that they don't sell the Summer Grace olive oil scrub on it's own!

I agree OP. I wore AG for years and always received many compliments. That was until Philosophy sold to Coty and the scent was reformulated. They ruined it. And despite tons of ongoing complaints on their Facebook page, Philosophy has blatantly denied that it has been re-formulated. They even go as far as insulting the poster's intelligence by suggesting perhaps their sense of smell has changed! I'm finishing my last bottle then no more. I need to find a similar scent.

I was also a Philosophy girl, loved Falling in Love and had used it for years. I ordered a trio early last year and was incredibly disappointed. The "Parfum" which is supposed to have more of the oils (so it clings to the skin) was not like the parfum I used previously and unlike any perfume I've ever purchased in that the liquid felt more like a cologne. I would spray liberally (which you shouldn't have to do with a perfume) and it wouldn't even stay until I left the house (DH: "What perfume", when I asked him to take a sniff).

The body butter was luscious and I used it liberally (because I love it) but it completely stopped having a fragrance half way through the jar. Not kidding! The last half of the jar was like an unscented version. I used it up because I like the cream... but no scent. None. The only thing that had a scent was the body scrub. Loved it, used it, but I wanted to layer and because I couldn't, I didn't have that wonderful scent for the day.

That was my last purchase. Cancelled the auto-delivery and won't be buying these products again. I can't understand why some customers are having no problems while others can't believe what has happened to the product. It's a shame, but I won't be playing russian roulette with a C-Note again.

Recently purchased the Philosophy TSV in AG.. Absolutely no staying power. I can't smell anything, period. Thought I was losing my ability to smell!! What is going on. I loved AG but, it's over now

When Christina was still in charge of the company , I remember distinctly that the shower gel and lotion had enough staying power that it would linger in my clothes for days. I did not need to layer every product in the line because the scent was substantial enough to stay with me. I've also lost interest now that the smell only stays half the day, It's sad, really, I was such a philosophy girl......
