Some people like their style regardless of whether dated or not ie big hair, fang like nails.
Sometimes these looks return ie tie dye, bell bottoms,
hemlines.

I work with a woman who is in her late 40s and hasn't changed her hair, nails or makeup in 20 years. That's how you decide if something is outdated, if you look exactly the same as 20 years ago, except older.
She showed me a family photo of a recent get-together and it was the first time i saw her mother. I got it then. I almost gasped. Her mom hadn't changed anything about herself in the past 40 years. (drawn eyebrows for one)
I don't get it. I'm far from being "trendy" but I like to stay current and fresh.
I wear my nails natural and naturally they look like a french manicure. The part of my nail that is grown out is naturally white, the bed of my nail is naturally pink.
Exaggerated, unnatural french manicures are NEVER in fashion. There's a way to wear them and a way to not wear them.
