When I was in beauty school back in the early 70’s we learned how’s to give a French  manicure.  They are classic and never go out of style.

I can’t stand the word “outdated”   It just a way for manufactures and designers to get you to spend you money on something new. If you like something, it shouldn’t matter if it is “outdated”.   Why do we all to follow the current trend?  So silly.

Re: French Manicures

When they're done well, they look like pretty, clean, well-manicured nails. I love that look.

Done poorly, they look like the old Lee Press-on Nails, & can be kind of tacky.

I don't watch QVC anymore (only online), but I remember Mary Beth used to have a gorgeous French manicure....perfectly done.

What anyone does with their nails beyond neat and clean is their own choice, at least in my opinion.   Some people chase styles, some don't.

I don't get them, but I think they're pretty.

Love them, I always get  my nails done.  It is my one pet peeve........a lady has to have nice nails!!   And a french, absolutely beautiful!!!  For those who have had them done and didn't like it, try another manicurist because they are not all good at it, definately an art.

I'm very partial to French manicures ~ don't care if they're in style or not.

If I were going to do my nails it would be an American manicure due to the fact that they are more natural looking than a French manicure.

As one of the other posters pointed out that if French mani is done incorrectly it looks hideously FAKE.  That is not what you want and it takes an experienced nail tech to execute it well.  Not many of those around.  Go for the American mani like Collen Lopez on HSN has a beautiful American mani and she has a great nail tech to do it.
