Even though I have mature skin I am still oily/combo. Finding a foundation that does not make me look like either cakeface or disco ball and does not sink into wrinkles and pores is very difficult. Some make me look older not better when they emphasize everything you did not know you had.
Already tried all of It cosmetics foundations, EL Doublewear and the new nude one, tarte clay, Josie Maran, Bareminerals powder both original and matte and the latest liquid, Wander powder foundation.
Any recommendations.?

We're all different and what works for me may not work for you. I still have extremely oily skin at age 68. I use oil-control primers under any foundation (Cover Girl Tru Blend in the white tube is one of the best for me).
Also, after years of trial and error in my youth, I've been using Cover Girl's AquaSmooth compact foundation for about 30 years. Plus, L'oreal Infallible is OK, but sometimes cakey unless you apply a very thin layer. I've thrown away more foundations than I've used, so I know what you're going thru. If you prefer and absolutely have to have high-end stuff, then I can't help you. None that I tried ever worked for me.
Maybe just trying an oil-control primer will help.

I have oily/combo skin, these are the foundations that work for me.
Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation
Cover Girl Ready Set Gorgeus or Clean Matte BB Cream (they are very similar)
Loreal True Match Belndable Makeup (this is a lighter coverage than the Infallible or Covergirl)
I find that using a beauty blender type sponge (I have real techniques) is the best way to apply these foundations to make it not cakey or emphasize lines. I have also tried the IT Cosmetics, Tarte Clay, and Josie Maran foundations, but I find that these drugstore foundations work better for me than the high end ones.

I'm 65 and also have oily/ combo skin. I get especially oily in warm weather and drier in winter, especially on my forehead and cheeks. I've tried many foundations also. Some just make me look really shiny and some make me look older. What I've returned to consistently is Laura Gellers Balance and Brighten. Although it's a powder, I find it kind of just "melts" into my skin after 10 minutes. I don't pile it on and for me it is what I'd call moderate coverage. To cut the shine in my "T" zone, I buy blotting papers to carry in my purse. I also love Josie Maran's Argan Oil. Seems odd since I have oily skin, but I use a drop of it after washing my face and then with Laura Geller's foundation and it works for me.

I will be 63 in Feb and my skin is still very very oily and I love - Hourglass - Immaculate® Liquid Powder Foundation Mattifying Oil Free
It dries like a powder and it is never cakey

It's rather expensive, but the new YSL All Hours Foundation is oil free it doesn't settle at all into my lines or pores. It has great coverage without getting cakey at all. I get a little oiler after a full day with it than I do with EL Double Wear so I just make sure to use a mattifying primer.
If possible, you might want to visit Sephora and get samples of a few of the recommendations. They give very generous samples so you get a good chance to make sure you really like a new foundation before plunking down the money for it.
Good luck...having oily skin stinks in a lot of ways but at least it does seem to keep wrinkles at bay a little longer

I am 65 with oily skin. I am very pleased with Laura Geller balance and brighten lightly applied after a primer, (I use Dhc Velvet touch.) I use no concealer and a tiny bit of illumination.(it)
I had the same exact issues you describe, it foundation, indeed any cream foundation, made my pores and wrinkles look exaggerated.
I also very very lightly apply Laura Geller bronzer as a last step.
People continually think I am 10 years younger, I do have good skin, but this makeup regime really helps.

@chiclet, Here are a couple of suggestions. They are at Nordstrom and 15% off (not sure for how long the sale is). Bobbi Brown Skin Weightless Powder Foundation for normal to oily skin or Clarins Skin Illusions made in France. One great thing about Nordstrom is free ship and free returns if you are not satisfied with the product. Have fun shopping!
