Taken the other day. To set the record straight.

@Sweet_Serenity You're not alone, you're not looney. Age is out to get us all. Everything is falling down or out or leaning, sagging, discoloring, or growing unwanted hairs. Research has proven a decline in collagen production, elastin integrity, cellular turnover and now we find out our housekeeping is pitifully poor too! We don't even clear cellular debris at the same rate as when we were 30. It isn't your imagination.
Your skin may suddenly decide it is hypersensitive to an ingredient you've used all your life. Suddenly ingredient decks become important, but they can sometimes bebewildering. So to ask for advise from the women of this forum is a smart move. Sure, you'll get dismissive posts. Ignore them.
I won't presume to know it all. What I can confidently share is the short list of really great formulations with astonishing color options- Cover Fx offers top rated, award winning color drops (40 shades) you can add to any serum, creme, primer you choose to make your own perfectly matched pink or neutral or golden toned foundation. If you don't want to mix you'll find their powder foundation is superb. The finishing powder the very best I've ever used. They pride themselves on what they don't add to their products- all the stuff that makes your eyes water, your skin itch or burn or turn red or ashy , or increase your risk of frightening diseases.
Skinn makes Plasma Fusion liquid foundation, another good-for you foundation, you don't feel it, it blends ike a gem and lasts . The shades are limited but truly forgiving.
IT has been taken over by a corporation with demonstrated comitment to diversity. L'Oreal and Lancome make stellar foudations if you can find your match. Hopefully their influence will change IT for the better for all of us.

On point! I'm not feeling well. So everything is magnified. Sometimes I'm a little girl in 58 yr old body. Yes, There's a story. This to shall pass, Meanwhile I'm grateful for kind people such as yourself. Forums help many of us not just in good times. đź’“

Please, don't be to hard on youself. We all have "those" days.
The only thing I can add to everyones comments is it is soooo important to find your correct shade of foundation.
Sending good thoughts your way. Happy Belated Birthday.

Sometimes what we see in the mirror can be seen more vividly when the lighting in your bathroom, or wherever, has changed. With the sun dipping down lower in the sky now, my bathroom gets more light and the light comes in at an angle...it accentuates lines and wrinkles. Plus if you use a magnified mirror it will make things more visible. Just a thought.![]()

Good Grief you're beautiful. Are you sure you need foundation? Maybe you'd be happier investing in a top of the line skin care routine so you can preserve your current beauty?

In addition to finding a good foundation, a regular skincare routine will help. You probably know this already, but exfoliating is a must to remove dead skin cells. A good moisturizing routine helps:
You may need to change up your makeup, too. Have you tried a liquid foundation with a beauty blender or liquid foundation brush? What about cream-based eye-shadows? As another poster mentioned, have you checked out YouTube tutorials? My ex-fiance's mom (she's 61) liked Stephanie Lange's tutorials for mature skin, whereas my mom (she's 67) loves Mature Beauty's tutorials.
I hope you find something that helps.
Try some tutorials, though. I wish you luck!

Filter does wonders. Fact is, I've always taken care with my skin. This past couple weeks allergic reactions to elements has beat me down. Went to my Doctor, He says after the first frost it should help. Thank you.đź’“

How about a stick foundation? I have used and really, really like the Maybelline Fit Me Stick foundation.
I have skin that is on the drier side but I have to use an oil free foundation or I will get oily breakthrough on my chin and forehead. I don't have that issue with me and in the winter when my skin gets drier, I don't have issues either.
