I was thinking about when I can finally go to a hair salon.  I get haircuts and coloring.  I have decided to just get a haircut and have colored my hair with a box coloring.  A haircut and coloring takes twice as long and if I just get the cut that opens up a time for someone else to get a haircut.

Most importantly be safe and make sure the salon workers are protecting themselves and you.

I always use a box dye to color my hair.  I just go to the salon for a hair cut, in and out.  My hair dye is fine and I like the color I have been using for awhile.  I don't want to be going to a salon that often.  When the salons are open I'm sure there will be a lot of people making appointments.  A hair cut is quick and like you that is what I will do when the time comes.

I cannot wait for my hair to get cut and colored!  Unfortunately, my stylist may or may not be back by June.

@seedpie I'm thinking of doing the opposite Smiley Happy  I want my stylist to color my hair and I'll hold off on a haircut.  My cut is pretty much a long bob, so the cut itself isn't looking too bad and I wanted to grow it out a bit anyways.  But I'm nervous about coloring myself and ending up with a mess.  I thought maybe she could color it and then shampoo/rinse and then I'd come home to dry it myself.   Be safe.

Hi @kutira  .....  I colored my hair at home for the first time about two weeks ago.  I'm actually pleased with the results.  But I am in desperate need of a hair cut.

@seedpie I am doing the same.

I have been transitioning to my natural color anyway, so I will go for a cut.

Then if she thinks we need to do any high/lowlighting we will schedule it from there.

My sister, daughter & I have appointments on the 26th one after the other.

My stylist is in one of the salons that each stylist has her own room in the building, so it is as isolated as it can be.

My daughter really wants a haircut, but she hasn't been out in amonst people since all of this started. I won't be surprised if she decides not to go.

Our salons can open at the end of May. I scheduled a June appointment at my last appointment in March. Thinking of rescheduling it for 2 reasons.

The first being I am still a bit unsure if I want to expose myself since I am in a risk population for getting the virus. I literally have not been anywhere other than walks in my neighborhood and the pharmacy drive thru since March 15.

The second reason is my hair style can grow longer without a cut or trim and still look fine. Another client may need her services more right now. I also add highlights to my hair at home. I can wait.

My salon has reopened.  I schedule several appointments at a time.  I missed my last appt. because they were closed.  My next appt. is June 3rd.  I was thinking about not going, but I really can't get my hair to look very good anymore, and the color has grown out over two inches.  I have dark roots.  I am going to go and wear a mask.  I hope everyone else will wear a mask, too.  It's a small salon.

@NickNack   Can you check with your salon ahead of time to ask if everyone wearing a mask is a requirement? I think you'll be more at ease. Will you still go if masks are not mandatory?
