What is your complexion like?  Dry?  Normal?  Combo? Oily?

What kind of coverage do you want?  Full, medium or light

Are you interested in a skin tint?

Texture?

My favorite everyday foundation is Nars Light Reflecting Advanced Skincare Foundation.

My favorite "special" foundations are Lancome Tiente Idole, Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation SPF 30,  My favorite skin tint is from Rose Inc...or maybe it's Shiseido.  I can't rank the rest.  I've got like 10+ and don't have anything bad to say about any of them.

I have a super dry complexion but use lots of hydration products prior to a primer.

@monicakm :  I hope your recovery is progressing after your surgery.   My complexion is medium, with combination skin, just wanting a medium coverage and also a dewy look. I am not good at all the makeup verbage you all use LOL, but thank you for your help.  As I mentioned I want to try Nars and also Armani silk.  I don't use makeup every day but want a new foundation.

Estee Lauder has been my favorite for many many years I occasionally try Lancome when they have a gwp but I prefer Estee Lauder double wear.

Well those are two good ones to start with.  Just be sure to hydrate and prime before you apply your foundation.  Pre-foundation products can make a look.

I'm doing pretty darn good thank you.  PT started out rough and I was having more pain from my sciatica than knee replacement.  Yesterday Rob worked "around" my sciatica and today I have turned the corner...on the downhill slide...back to kitchen duty (sigh).  It's not "over" by a long shot but I'm doing well Smiley Happy  Thanks for asking.

@Hoovermom I happen to prefer the Nars Sheer Glow over the Light Reflecting one.  I felt the other one gave me a harsh look when compared side by side.  However, at least in my Sephora store, they are no longer carrying it in-store.  But, I got it one day when they ordered it for me.

I'm also trying out the Armani Silk Foundation and I really like it too.  I've only worn it 2X so far.  I think the shade I got is just a tad darker than what I wear in the Nars.  Sunday I added one drop of Fenty drops to it, the lighter shade.

Lancome's Teint Idole 24H Long Wear Matte Foundaton and Merle Norman's Perfecting Make-up. MN's is a bit thick so I thin it with a drop of argan oil.

My favorite is IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation, in Light. I love it!!! Best foundation I have ever used. It goes on quickly, lasts all day with zero need for touch-ups, and looks natural in both sunlight and indoor lighting. I prefer the original, not the illumination version. I am never going back to liquid foundation. I just wish I had had this Celebration Foundation all my life!!!
