Some of the skin care brands use fancy containers.
I dont need these since once the products are used they
are tossed into the trash. I prefer lower prices and simple
containers.
Do you agree or disagree?

One thing I have learned from YouTube is that many people really do care about containers and boxes. I watch some handbag videos, where the person is unboxing a new bag, and she goes on about how nice the packaging is - not the box itself, but the envelopes/receipts/confetti/thank you note is included and how nice it looks.
Well, I could not possibly care less, but there are plenty who do. I vote for lower prices.

All the studies I have seen say that the main costs are profit and marketing. Ingredients and containers are the cheap stuff.

Fancy containers don’t impress me.

It depends what you mean by a fancy container. I would not purchase a skin care product in a jar other than a simple moisturizer. I need a pump or other system but it doesn’t have to be anything special.

@Still Raining Wouldn't you assume that depends on the brand and the ingredients involved?

Some of my skin care items are in my bathroom cabinets. Basic jars and tubes are fine with me, even if placed on the counter.

It's a marketing tool to get women's attention. However, I would also rather have it simple and have the price more reasonable. I love my current skincare because it is fun. My moisturizer is light blue, my facial cleanser is aqua and the facial scrub pale pink. It's fun to have colors.

I appreciate nicer packaging. I especially don't like face creams or serums packed in plastic. I want glass for the good stuff. Korres makes their face butter in an ugly plastic tub and it made me not like the product!

I buy the products, not fancy packaging. Except that I do prefer airless pumps or upside-down squeeze tubes for product safety and ease of use. Packaging doesn't need to be beautiful, just safe and convenient. Empty containers/dispensers go into recycling.
