What sunscreen do all of you use on your face? I need one that works well with either a tinted moisturizer, liquid or powder foundation. I seem to find the ones that ball up when I put anything on top of them. Maybe it's operator error!! Smiley Very Happy

Thank you!!

I use Neutrogena Deep Moisture Day Cream with SPF 20.  It is a cream (in a tub), is not expensive, has no fragrence, and does not turn my face white.  I like it very much.

When I travel and have to have something 3 ounces or less, I use Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with SPF 50.  It comes in a tube and is good, also.

Neutrogena Deep Moisture Day Cream SPF 20

Pros:
  • Provides broad spectrum sun protection.
  • Lightweight cream texture provides good hydration.
  • Contains antioxidant-rich shea butter + vitamin-based antioxidants.
  • Mica adds a soft, radiant glow to skin.
Cons:
  • Jar packaging won't help keep the light- and air-sensitive ingredients stable once opened.
  • The mix of fragrance plus sunscreen actives is more likely to be sensitizing.
  • SPF 20 is below the minimum recommended standard most dermatologists advise using.

I only wear tinted bb cream or tinted sunscreen as a foundation but I always wear another sunscreen underneath anyway because I don't trust a single layer of SPF to give me enough protection. The best sunscreens I have found to work as a base layer are the Asian ones like Nivea sun protect water gel or Biore watery essence. These go on light, silky smooth and they don't ball up when you layer something over them. They're both SPF 50+.

I recently bought Skinmedica Ultra defense spf 50. My derm recommended it. It's got good skin benefits as well. It sells for $68, but I ordered mine from EBay for $38, with the expiration date , so I know it's fresh. So far, I like it a lot, and don't even know it's on. The other I have always used is Shiseido spf 60 lotion in the blue bottle...no problems with that either...its larger in size, and not as expensive...I buy that at Sephora. It's available in dept stores too. I hate anything heavy on my face, and I'm prone to clogged pores, so these two work well.

Currently I'm using Dr Denese's day defense cream but once I'm done with that I will be using EltaMD Physical Broad Spectrum ELF 41. It's a lighter texture than Dr Denese and the tint isn't noticeable on me which I prefer. It's just there to prevent looking too white.

Replenix has a nice moisturize one and Epionce as well bought at online skin stores. Very good no white cast! But also use Josie's - both white and tinted.

So many out there but really the physical sunscreens are best for protection and an spf 30 and higher and up is a must. 50 is what I wear. Anything higher is not necessary I have a basal cell cancer tiny from a freckle when I was a child and it scares me not to get in sun!

I take vit d to supplement...another must if hardly any sunlight and much SPF
